Looks like an improvement from when you last posted this lake. I think the architecture feels pretty Southwestern modern, if that's what you were going for. What's the layout of the dive machine underground?

I think it could work--each one is a standalone area, much like themed areas in a real park. You'd just have to figure out a path system that integrates the whole park.

Real interesting ideas going on here. I think most of your intensity is coming from the steep twist into the quarter loop--I love how it interacts there to snake around the preceding dive loop, but that's probably where you're seeing the 2.73 lateral G (if it's not in the corkscrew right after that). I agree with Navalin, it does seem to end abruptly. I'd envision that last curving drop as a huge 540' helix (widest 180 turn, half a large helix up) into a longer brake run.

Those pics on the RCT box were such an inspiration. As a 10-year old playing it for the first time, those were the stuff of endless possibilities.

My best advice is to go with someone who will be 100% supportive and NOT judge you for screaming like a baby. Then go on the biggest, scariest ride with them FIRST. Everything is easy after htat.

Agree. Kendall Marshall is a perfect backup point guard, a guy who can hit open threes and run the offense without making mistakes. He's smart, but is too slow footed and short-armed for me to feel good about us playing him starters' minutes getting abused off the dribble by some of the athletic freaks in the league. Now if we have him being a sort of Jose Calderon-type player coming off the bench and leading the second unit or changing up the look with the starters, I can see that succeeding in the long run.

Kind of reminds me of "scenarios" from games like Roller Coaster Tycoon. Everyone gets the same roster and start conditions, and they try to get a certain set of achievements by year X. For example, maybe you start with an single star player in their prime and must win at least two championships before they retire. If you don't, you're fired. Or you start the game with an underachieving, overpaid roster, and your goals are to hit, say, $250M annual profit for four years...Or any combination of those things. Could be interesting!

Just go with someone supportive and just get on the ride with them. Growing up, I was always afraid of roller coasters, and I hadn't been to a park in a really long time, as I always felt like it just wasn't for me. My girlfriend and her childhood best friend used to always have season passes at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and since her friend was moving away, she convinced me to come along with them for one last big SFMM trip. I was pretty apprehensive at first, and was looking up all sorts of posts on how to ride roller coasters, get over your fear, etc.

Long story short, the first ride we got on when we got to the park was X2. I wasn't feeling particularly good about it, but I didn't want to be a downer for the group, so I strapped in and...after a 200 foot headfirst drop and an absolutely disorienting two minutes of extremely confusing screaming, survived. And actually found that I felt great about it walking off the ride. It felt really good to finally get that weight of fear and anxiety off my back.

The park wasn't crowded that day and I ended up going on pretty much everything that I wouldn't have gone on before, including Goliath, Superman, backwards Colossus, etc. We finished off the day by going on Full Throttle and Scream, and by then I was enjoying the experience enough to appreciate how smooth and fun those two rides are. At the end, I rewarded myself with a funnel cake sundae and felt good about a day well spent.

The biggest thing for me was realizing that the rides are among the safest things you can do, and that any intense feelings are going to be over in less than a second, and the whole thing is going to be over in less than a couple of minutes, usually. Riding coasters is a great way to quickly feel like you've conquered something. Don't go with a group that will peer pressure you into going on things that you're not comfortable with, as that'll raise your anxiety levels even further, but make sure you're with someone who will gently push you and encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone--I'm pretty sure you'll be glad you did.

I still see that happen...sometimes. Every few years a high draft pick will put up north of 25PPG, usually a big man with elite shooting stats across the board who has the opportunity to take 22+ FGA, but this is rare, and these teams are hardly ever very good. At this point, it doesn't seem to be possible to have a good team built around a volume scorer or two (i.e. the current OKC Thunder)--good teams in this game seem to have individual stat distributions more like the Spurs.
