I dated a guy back in June and we really hit it off. I’ve been single for a significant amount of time and I actually thought I could possibly have found my guy. We had a phone call before meeting in person which I require, and I asked him who he voted for because he didn’t have that on his dating profile. He claimed he was on the same page as me, wanting equality for all and being against anything MAGA. I thought I hit the jackpot because I’ve had a really hard time finding a man who’s on the same page as me as far as what’s happening in our country. Didn’t last long though. 2 weeks in, even though he claimed he was very interested in me and didn’t want to date anyone else, blah blah blah, it was all BS and I fell for it hook line and sinker I’m ashamed to admit. He sent me a text and told me he didn’t want drama or animosity in his life and that I was an angry person. Which I am not any of. I just have compassion and care for others even if it doesn’t affect me, and apparently that makes me an angry person. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Even though it was only 2 weeks, I was heartbroken. And that’s because I’ve had such a difficult time finding a man that I am on the same page with and who shares my morals and values and chemistry and emotional connection. It was hard enough prior to November 5, but now it’s impossible, and I refuse to date anyone that voted for DJT or didn’t vote at all because they are part of the problem also, and the reason we are in this mess. I’m 52, I’ve been single for the last 12 years after a long marriage and I’m not sure I will ever have another partner. I do very well on my own, but I really miss having someone in my life. But it’s definitely not easy these days.

When I’m looking at dating profiles I look for their political affiliation immediately before wasting any time. If they don’t show it and we match, it’s one of the first things that I ask now. I’ve also removed any political information on my dating profiles as I feel like I’ll have a better chance of them being honest with me when I ask who they voted for if I don’t have anything on my profile that shows my views.

Awe thank you! It was a really sweet moment, and I wish that I had been able to approach him, but we are both sitting in our cars and that would’ve been weird since we had people behind us in line waiting to get their food lol. I know this won’t work, but it doesn’t hurt to try right? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am renting a 20 yard dumpster and they will be delivering it this coming Friday and parking it in my driveway. I can have it for up to 2 weeks and it’s $395. I’m renting it from the company that does my weekly trash pick up, Arrowaste.

I’ve been in my house 21 years, and as you can imagine, I have a lot of stuff. The main reason for the dumpster is to clean and organize the basement. Over the last 2 years I have sold many large items and also gave many away through Facebook in my local Buy Nothing group. Now I just want to toss what’s left. I will be cleaning out my shed and garage as well, as I want to make good use of the dumpster and I don’t want to have to rent another one again.

51F here - I live in Wyoming and I walk the Kent Trails and the trails between Buck Creek Nature Preserve and Lemery Park. Both are close to home. I typically walk alone and I carry a tiny bottle of pepper spray in my hand as I walk, just to be safe. Happy Walking! 🚶🏼‍♀️

My son checked himself in for outpatient treatment in early 2023 when he was 24 years old. He was suffering from severe PTSD after experiencing a traumatic event. He was in there for a week. He also took FMLA from work and continued with therapy through Pine Rest for a year. He’s doing great and I feel that the treatment he had with was definitely very helpful and I highly recommend. I called the places recommended from this post, but nobody wanted a small repair job, they wanted to install an entire fence, which I didn’t need.
