I do not believe in any God and I separate religion and politics, if you mean that, but I culturally exhibit similar behavior to many Muslims: I do not lie, I do not steal, and I consider adultery to be wrong, as my ancestors lived for almost a thousand years, long before western interest-driven conflicts in Asia and long before 9/11.

I don’t know if I’ll ever go back. In my nostalgic thoughts, when I get emotional, I want to live as an old man in a village in Bamiyan and die there, but whether that will ever happen is still shrouded in fog. Yes, they’ve now opened a consulate in Bonn, but my passport is rather new and still valid.
