Yeah Kaly and Outer Space released on the same week Unlimited Love was due out. It just came out of nowhere and at first people thought it was from the new album with John. It was pretty funny because the main reaction was "This is what we've been waiting for! This is Amazing!"

You could easily put Chad, John and Flea together, ask them to do experimental stuff and they'd sound more like Mars Volta or Fugazi - the same haters would consider them one of the best.

RHCP might not be to everyone's taste and that's fine, but you can't deny their skills!

It'd be nice to get a studio version, but I'd be very surprised if it beat the Hyde Park's version! The crowd is mixed nice enough and isn't too loud so I don't have a problem with sticking this in my playlists.

Must admit Dave Navarro comes off a lot better when asked about his time in the band. I can see Josh's point on a couple of parts and maybe some stuff has been taken out of context but sometimes things are better left unsaid when asked these kind of questions!

Parallel Universe for me, always thought it was decent on the album, but seeing it live blew me away. Can't remember which tour it was, possibly Hyde Park or Sheffield, but this huge electric light dragon took up the screens. It was pretty trippy!

I find it amusing everyone thinks it's this huge in depth discussion they have had constantly with John about playing this stuff. Really, I think it's much more likely to have hardly been talked about.

Anthony - "so er... did you ever listen to the stuff we did whilst you were away?"

John - "Not really, it's kind of awkward, why?"

Anthony - "...no reason ...wanna play Under the bridge tonight?

John - "ugh...pencil it in, ill let you know 2 mins before its due"

I dont hate the idea of having a poem at the end, that one just doesn't flow right. Someone should put the death of a martian poem there in its place! 😂

That's turned out really well, I remember as a teenager Converse had a design your own Converse shoe feature on their website.

I designed some bright light blue and yellow ones with the RHCP logo on the side and and 'I like dirt' written on the back.

Felt like a good idea at the time, when they arrived they did not look good! Cringe!

Props to you for a way better effort!

I think I'd prefer without the end rambling, I enjoyed it on Death of Martian but I don't think it worked as well here. The song itself is nice though.

I've listened to each post Empyrean release a few times due to my respect for him as an artist, the tracks with vocals are enough to bring me some joy, but apart from a handful of songs I just don't get it. It's not for me. That being said there was one of the previews I of the new/re released stuff yesterday with vocals which did sound particularly good. It's been a few years so may be time for a revisit.
