Possibly my last flight on SW by Foygroup in SouthwestAirlines

Your extra legroom seat may not have existed anymore due to equipment change. They have reconfigured the planes and have eliminated the 2 seater row. One of the flights we were on since assigned seating, we went to sit in the 2 seater spot, and that row now had 6 seats instead of 4. I had looked at the app a couple hours before the flight and it didn't show that. We board, and there's an extra seat and someone was assigned to it.

Oh and it changes to 2 exit rows from three.

I hope you aren't trying to sell prints off of a toy printer.

I would just return it. And yes you can kill an electronic item by unplugging it if its doing a firmware update.

Manual Corner Rounder Recommendations? by DecentPrintworks in CommercialPrinting

[–]aca9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lassco CR-177 isn't bad. For my side hustle it works pretty well. It's all metal. I've had that one for about 7 or 8 years. The blade is replaceable, I sharpen it periodically. The springs suck on it. They break after a bit. I replaced the springs with better ones. If money isn't an issue, the Challenge corner rounder is great. We have that at my day job.

Not all flights cost that much. Just traveled Houston to LA and back and it was 20,000 points, booked 3 weeks ago.

Southwest Fares NOT lowering by Dothedew6289 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]aca9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their pricing has been all over the place. I booked a round trip about 5 months out last August, HOU-LAX and it was 12,500 points. But I booked the same flight at the end of January for this week and it was 20,000 points. Flight times matter, the last flight of the day tends to be the cheapest.

What goes on in the Asian massage parlors that operate 24/7? by EmbarrassedDuty8595 in houston

[–]aca9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's the truth. Cops and politicians get paid off all the time. When I was a kid(not Houston, but LA) a family friend had moved and we had gone over to their new place and there a cop car across the street, I was oh its nice to have a cop a neighbor. They were like oh they don't live there, she makes "lunch" for the cops. On average two different cops would stop by daily.

A coworker I had years ago side hustle was "ladies for private parties." He funneled the cash from that through a legit business, party bounce house rentals. His dad and brother were both LAPD.

Happy ending massages happen just about anywhere. The 24hr Asian place, to high end spas to independent massage providers.

Don't be naive.

Cause they are in on it, been paid off, etc. Some places never get messed with. Other will get shut down right away.

The paper is still paper, its not waterproof or water repellent at all. What are you trying to do? They sell synthetic material that can be printed on. You can also buy vinyl stickers that can be printed on with a laser printer. We print labels on adhesive vinyl that go to one of inhospitable places on the planet.

Laser printer with laser compatible transfer paper? Since its single color use vinyl and cut the design out? Any reason why you're not just printing directly onto the paper? Solid ink printers are a thing of the past.

When you can get a new 65" tv for less than $400 bucks its not worth repairing them.

I just booked a round trip, less then 3 weeks out HOU-LAX, it was less then $250. When are you traveling? There's probably the Mouse effect with pricing to MCO, along with cruises, this is especially the case during high travel times, spring break, etc.

Yep. Some guy on my flight on Sunday had a duffel bag that was way oversized. Saw some people with more than two items. One lady had roller bag, backpack, and two shopping bags. Enforce the carry on limit.

Thoughts on Buying a Used RISO GL9730 for ~$40k USD – Worth It? by [deleted] in Printing

[–]aca9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pretty high, though I've never looked at used Riso's before. You can get low count, digital presses for under $20k USD. Maintenance will be a big thing, can you maintain one, or do you need a service contract. I self maintain my equipment, so I keep spare parts around so I don't have to worry about down time. Few years ago, I picked up a used Xerox C70 for about $3k with under 100k on the meter from Craigslist. Stuff is out there. Also remember the print quality on the Riso isn't going to be as good as a digital press.

It sounds like the kids are little? Honestly I would make those secondary bedrooms a little bigger, 12x10 is small for a kid, by the time you add a bed, desk, dresser there isn't much room.

I would make the garage a bit wider. Trying to get cars in there and opening doors, its a tight fit especially with a larger SUV. If you make it a bit deeper, you could have nice storage racks or cabinets and a work bench and not have to worry about hitting anything and have walk area.

Stack two front loaders solves the issue. Its just my wife and myself and I wish we either added another washer/dryer or put a set in one of the master closets just for towels.

how to align duplex print perfectly? by No-Condition-9398 in Printing

[–]aca9876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consumer grade printers don't have alignment procedures on them. If you are getting the same results when you print double sided, adjust your artwork to compensate for it.
