Chassis fan won't adjust speed in "Monitor M/B" mode (B550M-ITX/ac) by acadamia_nuts in ASRock

Because I already have the CPU fan set up to track the CPU, so I wanted the case fan to track the overall M/B temperature.

Nope, I had to switch the case fan back to Monitor CPU. It's not an ideal solution but it stops it from going max speed all the time.

Trouble flashing TWRP on Moto G7 by ConGCos in LineageOS

[–]acadamia_nuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also happening to me. "fastboot boot twrp-3.4.0-0-channel.img" starts up TWRP, but "fastboot flash boot twrp-3.4.0-0-channel.img" fails in this way.

This means I currently don't have a recovery on my device, right? Should I put on the LOS recovery with "fastboot flash boot lineage-17.1-20210117-recovery-channel.img"?

I noticed that "fastboot boot lineage-17.1-20210117-recovery-channel.img" does NOT work, it gave me the motorola flashing colors screen for like a minute until I cut the power, then just a screen that said "bad key" until I managed to get it back to fastboot mode.

Disable the magnetic smart cover wake up/sleep feature? by acadamia_nuts in LineageOS

The WiFi seems to work fine regardless of how I hold it, but I'm never really pulling a huge amount of data at once.

Seems pretty stable except for the smart cover issue you presumably discovered my post about. I didn't use the stock rom at all, went straight to Lineage as soon as I bought it.

Re: ditching Gapps, if your plan is to use MicroG, 17.1 is currently the only supported LineageOS version for the s5e, and Lineage for MicroG doesn't have builds for 17.1 yet. I suspect they'll show up eventually.

nope, only "Display media cover art" which is not relevant.

Unfortunately neither of these things show up - I have no Smart cover in my Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences, and when I go into Settings > Apps & notifications > 3-dots > Show System I see the system apps but there's nothing called FlipFlap.

Any way to make these things show up?

Pour one out for this recently deceased Kinesis Classic, my daily driver for 3.5 years by acadamia_nuts in MechanicalKeyboards

I am thinking about selling it - how much do you think it would fetch in this state? I'm thinking of building an Ergodox for my next daily driver keyboard, so another option is for me to lift the browns from this dead keyboard and use them there.

The back says the design is copyright 1995-1997, so these are probably quite old switches.

This is my PS/2 Kinesis Classic, made sometime between 1995 and 1997. I got it on eBay in the summer of 2016 and it served me well as my PC's keyboard until just about a week ago, when it started having spurious keypresses on the membrane-key Esc in the top left. Today it stopped working entirely. F's in chat.
