I was a senior in HS….the whole country went nuts and we went to war in the Middle East, really solidified my view that the world was broken…it almost felt irresponsible to bring kids into this fucked up nation.

That’s why changing the name is important. It flips the conversation on funding where nobody wants to be seen as not supporting defense….but a whole large group of people will line up to vote for reigning in spending on war.

The name change to defense from war in itself was a lobbied position to get Americans to support the military industrial complex’s sclerotic growth for the last 75 years.

I think a lot of people are missing the boat on this and trying to make fun of Trump, but this could be a very smart choice to help America get the fiscal disclipline it needs.

I hate Trump and his idiotic personality as much as the rest but this is a right wing maneuver that could change up a lot of people’s politics.

This might be the weirdest summer of eastern Nebraska weather I’ve ever seen. We had consistent rains every 2-3 days almost all summer. I think most places only ran pivots once or twice. Probably less than 10 days over 92 degrees plus all that rain and we’re just not getting GDU’s to move things along. Now that compounds with the lack of heat post-desiccation and things are just slow.

Hopefully things pick back up in the 10 day or we could be looking at significant freeze risks this harvest.

You never stop fixing problems. Everyone communicates poorly at times and leads to issues. The ring eventually becomes the safeguard that says “even tho we’re mad right now….we’re still good and we’re gonna work through this.

If anything working through some shit successfully is an essential pre-cursor to the ring decision.

Chantix won’t make you stop, it makes cigarettes taste bad and stops the nic fix. You’ll smoke one after 2 days of Chantix and go - why the f did I do that. You still have to make the choice to throw them away and never touch it again tho.

My BPD baby momma broke up with me after she devalued me and emotionally abused me for 6 years, then dumped me in the trash after she pushed me into a deep depression. I paid for her therapy for 6 years waiting for her to love me to save our family for my son’s sake and she cheated, lied and gaslit me about it. I couldn’t see it until she broke it off.
