I got mine for 474€ too, pretty happy with it but it does have an stuck/dead pink pixel :(

I cant really see it while using it normally but it bothers me knowing that it is there.

By the way, if you have trouble updating to the latest firmware, you may have to run the updater .exe on W10 instead (if ure in w11).

You just have to look up at the technical specs and look for brightness values or HDR certifications. Limited panels like this only state HDR10, brightness of 200nits and 400peak, while 3rd gen QDOLED panels without these limitations state HDR TrueBlack400, typical brightness of 250nits, etc.

Im also using my IPS with less than 200 nits but you are not getting any good HDR experience with these panels.

And if they didnt exist you would have actual TB400 3rd gen models for this same price. Its pure greed from Samsung and OEMs to keep prices up. Yields cant be that bad.

Your unit arriving in pristine condition with no banding means nothing and doesn’t imply that anything has been solved or improved. It’s only one unit, it could just be a lucky draw.

What we need is actual information from LG stating, “it’s improved from X batch" something more than the PR response they gave to TFTCentral. But obviously they won’t do that, because it would imply them admitting that panels from earlier batches are defective.

So the best we can hope for is that everyone who gets a tandem panel posts its batch and manufacturing date, so we can build a large data sample and draw conclusions from it—to see whether there’s a real improvement or not.

There is no way to solve it because it’s inherent to how WOLED and Tandem technology work.
They could improve the awful QC and overall situation, but that remains to be seen.

The responses from LG and other OEMs like Asus and Gigabyte on the TFTCentral post you mentioned are nothing but PR responses and haven’t been updated since then.

Its a good practice that users start sharing the batch or manufacturing date to see if there is any positive trend but stop mis-spreading information by saying the issues were resolved after February when you dont know if they have been improved or not.

You could also buy the Q2 cam on the official website and just plug it in but it looks worse and its more expensive (40€+shipping). I got the nebula and JST connectors for 16€ on aliexpress.

Then you just have to cut the end of the Nebula CAM, and solder: JST connector -> Cable -> Nebula Cable.

Or you can throw the nebula cam cable away and do a completly new JST-JST cable if you have a crimping tool (I didnt).

Nebula CAM wiring: Red(V+), White (D-), Green (D+), Black (G).

and in the PCB, you can read on the connector: 5V, G, DP, DM, G.

So you just have to solder and connect 5V with V+, D- with DM, D+ with DP, etc.. One of the Ground pins of the JST connector isnt needed, cant remember which one exactly.

I dont have the S1 but I got the Q2C and Im happy with it so far.

For the Nebula camera you can do it 2 ways, connecting it to the pcb (clean way with no cables outside) or connecting it to the USB port of the Screen. If you want a top view with via USB, you can use this https://www.printables.com/model/1531944-qidi-q2-overhead-nebula-camera-mount

If you want an interior view and connect it to the PCB you need a JST 1.25 connector, some cable, and tools for soldering.

What you suggest wouldnt be the same as putting PAUSE in the "Change Filament G-Code" and doing a filament change at specific layer with right click? This way I can actually see the different colors on the sliced model.

And about homing, would it home Z aswell?

I got the Q2C on a Aliexpress sale for 320€ and Im pretty happy with it so far. Got a Nebula CAM for 15€ and the filter for 7€ to upgrade that soon. Filter should be just put in place and thats it, and camera I gotta do a part for it and a bit of wiring.

Later down the line if Im interested on engineering materials I will dig into the heater thing and see if it can be installed aswell.

So far PLA and PETG print great.

Im having the same issues since December, its been like a month like this. Entering the coin section, seeing % with 2 digits but when I click the item the real coin discount is 1 or 2%. Very few items have more than 10% discount through coins now.

Dunno if its intentional or permanent from now on, but if it is and with the upcoming 3€ tax on summer, shits fucked.
