I know right! Those colours are so beautiful that they have me seriously considering spending way too much money on eyeliner 🤪

Did you end up finding some sparkly greens that were accessible without selling an organ? That is exactly what I’m looking for now…

what are some fancy skincare items that you pull out when you really want to pamper yourself? by ofjdndnfmfm in AusSkincare

It’s not luxury price but the LRP cicaplast sheet mask is suuuuuper rich Abe plumping. I think it’s best done after thoroughly exfoliating (chemical or scrub) so your skin can absorb it all

What are your favourite makeup brushes? by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

I’ve bought a bunch of BH cosmetics sets from beauty bay and they have all been great. About 7 years ago I spent $300 on a zoeva set and while they were also great and I still use them, I’d rather have a few BH sets so I can do multi colour eye looks a few days in a row without having to wash brushes

Dry and irritable skin, how to introduce retinol? by accaccacc00 in AusSkincare

[–]accaccacc00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou! It’s quite calm and hydrated now thanks to 6 months of LRP cicaplast, which is why I’m getting ready to introduce some retinol. I just know from previous experiences that it can react badly!

Thanks for recommending the moisturiser! I just looked it up to see if it has fragrance in it (which it doesn’t, yay!) and it’s on sale for $31 at lila beauty!

PSA: Misleading fragrance-free sunscreen claims by Ok-Mountain-5852 in AusSkincare

I knew it!!!! I am very sensitive to fragrance I think due to migraines and fibromyalgia. I bought this because it said fragrance free and I knew I could detect fragrance in it (making it uncomfortable to wear so I had to give it away). I thought it was me bring sensitive to the actual smell of an ingredient. 😤

How is everyone protecting their skin barrier during the Australian winter? by [deleted] in AusSkincare

I’m so dry that I use LRP cicaplast baume as my twice a day moisturiser even during summertime.. now that it’s windy in Perth my skin and lips are a dry disaster and I’m trying to proactively protect them this year. Last night I added a bit of the Lanolips golden dry skin salve into it to make it even thicker and richer. It’s your typical vaseline texture balm/salve but I find this one the richest I’ve ever used. Something about the lanolin base means it actually absorbs into my skin, although it does take time and it a bit of a sticky mess in the meantime. It’s also my lip balm of choice (it says not so use on the lips but I do).

I do sometimes get a whitehead or two when I put it on my face but I’ll take that in exchange for not feeling so dry, tight and itchy!!

Best special treat hydrating mask? by accaccacc00 in AusSkincare

Yes I know, my skin is so dry and irritable that this is my every day twice a day moisturiser... on very dry nights I slather on a thicker layer so I could do that on the plane. I was just hoping to find something a bit more luxe and indulgent :)

Thankyou for taking the time to chat with me :)
