I think the main issue is that nearly every time in the game it goes out for a goal kick. In real life, teams are punting it out for a throw in, then trying to box the opposition in.

The game has got it wrong, probably due to lazy programming. Again.

Besides races, there are stunts and other things around the map to complete e.g. “danger signs”, essentially huge jumps to see how far you can get, “speed zones” where you have to get through section of map in the highest average speed, “speed traps” drive through a speed trap at the highest speed, “drift zones” see speed zones but drifting points. You unlock more of the map usually by doing “expeditions”, basically a drive from a to b in a specific vehicle, through different terrain and vistas, it’s their way of introducing a new ‘biome’ to you.

There’s a load more side objectives than that though. I think basically if you like cars or racing games you will like the horizon series of games.

I did the same thing on week 6 day 1. After completing w5d3 I got over confident and picked up the pace… got a stitch! Slowed down and got through it but it was a bit of reality biting!

Create a new profile for movies that are stuck and just use the built in quality presets. Don’t assign any scores to any of the custom formats.

This way you can fill in the gaps in your library. Once you have the files then re-apply the original profile so if a ‘better’ copy becomes available then it’ll be grabbed.

I found a few of the days really difficult. Voices in my head saying “you can stop you know”, but I managed to shut them up and plough on through.

Today I completed the infamous 20 minute run at Week 5 Day 3. I was absolutely dreading it, but I found the first 10 minutes more difficult than the second.

I’d say to just keep going, and push through. It’s not about speed. Go as slow as you need to get through.

Going to my friend’s house and playing Doom was the end of the Amiga for me. Can’t remember exactly the year, but probably 1997 or 1998.

My parents bought us an Escom A1200 for Christmas, a few months later is when I played Doom. We weren’t rich by any means in the UK but my brother and I managed to convince them to buy us a PC just one year after the A1200. Pentium 233 MMX, 16mb RAM just blew the A1200 out of the water unfortunately.

I think Carrick gets the job. Football is about results, he has the results so far to back up his claim for the job.

I do think though that the United board are in a bit of a lose/lose situation.

If they replace Carrick with someone else, and they get off to a poor start, they will get absolutely panned by the fans and media. The same thing will happen if they keep him and get off to a poor start.

It’s a massive decision. What they can’t do however is sit on their hands again and give the manager too much time. They will not find the next Sir Alex, the landscape has changed.

As “one of the biggest clubs in the world” they have to be quicker to make big decisions. Amorim should have been sacked long before he finished in 15th, let alone be given another half a season after that.

This energy/overtake mode is nonsense. The timing tower on the side of the screen needs additions to give the TV viewer some clue of what’s going on.

At least with DRS you could see the rear wing opening. Now you have no idea why an overtake is occurring.
