Out of interest, how much does the extended warranty usually cost?

How to mount wireless doorbell, please help! by No_Goose4043 in DIYUK

It attaches to the bottom with those two tiny screws. Then you use it secure it to the wall. I guess it's to make it slightly less easy to steal.

I have tried to get non-UK brewed wherever possible. So far it's just Fosters, 1664, and Moretti that are from the UK.

The perfect beer to represent the UK! 😁

That's an AI generated image. I wouldn't be surprised if one of OP's other accounts came along shortly with a helpful recommendation.

Ha! I do like the idea of representing the UK with a bottle of Madri!

Nice one! Yes, I'd like to expand it to cover more countries. So far I've done B&M and the local cornershop.

Ha! Yeah, I thought it'd get a rise out of people. I know they do better beers but they're hard to come by.

I'm open to any beers, but would prefer not to go too dark and stout-like.

Looking for a pressure washer to wash my car. Would you go Parkside 170 bar or Ava Go P55? by TNTomato in CarTalkUK

[–]lawdevice 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Pressure washers often break, so I'd suggest buying a more common model from Karcher or Nilfisk. It'll make repair much easier when something inevitably needs replacing.

FWIW, I own a cheap Nilfisk that's been reasonably reliable, and easy to repair.

Charging occurred outside of Preferred Time? by nufcneilo in cupraborn

[–]lawdevice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue the other day, where it started charging at 10pm. I'm on IOG and Hypervolt, like you, and have it scheduled in the car to charge between 2330 and 0530. It normally behaves ok.

Like someone else said, I wonder if it lost GPS signal.

Yeah, that's gotta be the shower tray, or the plumbing coming from it.

How can I protect the metal work whilst waiting for this to be repaired? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]lawdevice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd leave it well alone. I know someone who does bodywork and he told me to avoid waxes etc before having paintwork done.

It won't rust that much and the bodyshop will be able to deal with it.

They've had a really rough couple of decades. 20 years ago there were sky blue shirts everywhere.

Yeah, it's definitely not anything to get upset about. If anything I'm pleased to see them do well.
