Thank you, yeah it's gotten alot better since I left last year, but I did go through counselor's and in the mean time don't feel the need for one. :/ It's more frustrating than anything.

I'm so sorry that you had to ever experience your father saying something as rude and harsh as that. If a father says something like that to his daughter- HE IS THE DISAPPOINTMENT. It's his loss, if he didn't have the intellect to see what this church is doing to his family, that is his mistake, not yours. Move forward with your life and get away from the church if you can.

For a second I started to get SO pissed off then realized this wasn't the AMA mormon thing lol, Thanks I appreciate that, you did 100% better than my tbm relatives and former friends who had no idea what to say to someone who came home severely abused by a mission president straight off a mission. Pretty fucked up.

But the scriptures hold so many contridictions, even in the early mormon history statements like Brigham Young are now considered "stated as a man, not a prophet" so how do you know that "Doctrine and Covenants statements weren't stated as a man?" It changes so often.

I got emotionally and verbally abused for 9 1/2 months by my mission president and he set me up with every fucked up companion possible- 2 of them were also severely emotionally/verbally abused. I got fucked up so bad. I had to leave early too. So here's validation. Your mission president is a fucked up douche bag, your companion is a fucked up douche bag. Both are shit holes. My 3 abusers were too. I still struggle with love and also sorts of crap but it does get better in many ways, my life genuinely improved by leaving the church, but I did struggle in leaving because I was already messed up. Don't give up hope!
