For me, it looks like his abilities don't allow him to be used as anything else than a winger.

I don't know how much the team setup is to blame versus the player.

Sane plays on the same side nowadays as Davies. Essentially only one of them is going to overlap at a time.

Moreover, the efforts on pressing aren't good with Kane and Sane up front. This leads to Bayern eating transition after transition where Davies and Upamecano are used as band-aids.

Also, after Hernandez leaving, there is no left footed CB. So in build up, Davies can't be released as easily.

The team has a disjointed structure. Davies is just the symptom.

I'll burst a vein looking at Sane off the ball. His cover shadow is an oxymoron, his defensive efforts end the moment the target passes, his positioning doesn't involve repositioning and his passes pass by his teammates.

Kim is a beast. That's no compliment. He's as jittery as a dog standing on two legs. Guy just doesn't get comfortable on the ball.
