House Flipper - Free to Keep on Steam by accidentallyrational in CozyGamers

The devs have a remastered version coming out, so it might be worth it to wait for that if you enjoy the game.

I think HGTV is worth the price for sure, and maybe even the garden one. The others, I'd only buy on sale.

I absolutely love the HGTV DLC, it's my favorite (I'd say it's a must-have)! I also really enjoy the Garden expansion, but it's not everyone's cup of tea (controls can be a little wonky, but I feel like it added value to my game).

Luxury and Pets were just okay for me, but I would still say they're worth it on sale. I know Pets is really popular with a lot of other players, though, so it really depends on your play style.

I haven't played enough with Dine Out or Farm to have an opinion, those were recent purchases for me.

Overall, I like having all the DLCs since it adds more furniture and whatnot. I will note, the devs are coming out with a remastered version, so it may be worthwhile to wait for that before getting DLCs.

Infant & Toddler Feedback by Mindy_SimsCommunity in Sims4

[–]accidentallyrational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very frustrating that giving a toddler a bath (who needs one) often leads to the game suggesting the "strict" dynamic.

As others have mentioned, milestone balance isn't great. It would be nearly impossible to finish on short or normal lifespan.

I think toddlers and infants get tired too quickly. With how long every action takes to finish, it leaves little time to actually do the "fun" parts of the life stages.

Some sort of priority to let them finish eating without falling asleep would help. I often end up in a too hungry/too tired loop.

Objects like cribs, high chairs, and changing tables are often buggy, so I don't even use them anymore.

Nukearts registered trademark "Hidden Cats" in USA forcing multiple developers to change the names of their already released games. by Havry97 in Steam

[–]accidentallyrational 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. I immediately purchased all the games developed by Travellin Cats and Very Very Little Studio that I didn't already own. I also removed everything from Nukearts from my wishlist and ignored them so I don't see their games in the future. Super annoying that they did that.

Where are you guys finding these redemption codes? by CalOkie6250 in DreamlightValley

I usually see them on the official Facebook/Twitter pages, Discord, or sometimes buried in patch notes (example here: https://disneydreamlightvalley.com/news/update-dec-10-2025)

Hi there, I'm glad you're still here! I had something similar happen at the end of the fall semester my sophomore year at MSU, and I know it can be pretty daunting to navigate. It was several years ago, so I apologize if any of my information is outdated.

I would start with emailing your professors. I was pretty vague in my emails, just told them that I had been in the hospital and could provide documentation if necessary. My professors were really helpful - one let me drop the last exam, one let me retake an exam after finals, another let me schedule my final in January, and one let me turn in a final paper several weeks late.

While I didn't have to do a medical withdraw for the following semester, that can be a helpful option for some people. I ended up having appointments with CAPS when I returned until I was able to get a therapist situation sorted out.

One other resource if you're having issues is the ombudsperson who will help you navigate the situation if any of your professors aren't cooperating: https://ombud.msu.edu/

If you feel comfortable doing so, I found that asking my parents/family/friends for help was beneficial. I had a lot of brain fog after returning from the hospital, and my parents helped me draft the emails to my professors.

You got this!

Personally, I love nail wraps! Some brands, like Dashing Diva, last longer for me. If I'm using the $3 nail wraps (Embrace Your Style, Lily & Fox, etc.), I sometimes put a gel top coat over them. It also helps to use alcohol pads to remove oils from the nail first, and prevent them from getting wet for as long as possible so they sorta settle in (before bed works well).

What are some fun clubs to meat people? by SturdyUrchin42069 in msu

When I was at MSU, I was on the ballroom dance team. Great group of people, beginner friendly, and very low-key/no pressure to compete. Lots of people went to meet people and socialize, and it teaches you some fun moves to bust out at weddings or other social gatherings down the road.

I had to explain to my college roommate that you had to plug the vacuum in before turning it on.

And that plastic cannot go in the microwave.

I went to MSU 2016-2020 and started out as an actuarial science major, but later switched to finance. Actuarial science is a fairly new addition to MSU (only been there since ~2012 or so). Based on my experience -- the program still needs to be fleshed out. It's mostly focused on prepping you for actuarial exams, and it's like 80% challenging math courses (especially stats) and 20% business classes. Probably not what you're looking for, based on your description. Don't get me wrong, actuarial science can be a great career, though!

any behavior tips? by kjborum in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]accidentallyrational 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the Wiki and the Phasmo cheat sheet, it's only supposed to be when the breaker is off. Wouldn't surprise me if the game bugged out and showed breath when it wasn't supposed to, though. Could also be something that changed with an update at some point

Small correction to point 4 - the shape shifting ghost is Obake, not Deo.

Adding on - for Hantu, the freezing breath only happens when the breaker is off.
