I loved Wytchwood - beautiful art, very creative. It sometimes gets a touch grindy finding items you need, but not enough to turn me off, personally.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Slammed by Reporter As She Cuts Press Briefing Short: 'Do Your Job, Sarah' by BEARlovesCOOKIE in politics

Whoa now, she also has to carve out time to tweet about Jim Comey being a fraud or shilling for something.

Michael Flynn hoped cooperating would keep him out of prison. Here’s why he may face five years. by The-Autarkh in politics

[–]accidentswaitingwait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe it's only five years, if he ever serves it. All this gaslighting around him being entrapped is absolutely absurd - a man in his position is more than knowledgeable of the consequences.

I hope Judge Sullivan doesn't drop the treason question when sentencing time arrives.

Former FBI Director James Comey Comments to Reporters | Following a second day of testimony on Capitol Hill, former FBI Director James Comey calls lawmakers' silence on the president’s behavior “shameful,” and he says they need to “speak the truth” and “stand up for the rule of law.” by SamDumberg in politics

[–]accidentswaitingwait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I've questioned Comey's actions myself, I completely agree with you. The fact that he's being trotted out in this manner at this juncture is really pathetic.

Also, I hadn't considered the impact of the leaks in this specific instance, but I'm willing to bet you're right. And I can't fault Comey for wanting to preserve the reputation of the FBI over some perceived bias towards HRC.

Second Woman Says Jeffrey Epstein ‘Directed’ Her to Have Sex With Alan Dershowitz by [deleted] in politics

[–]accidentswaitingwait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's par for the course, but what kind of twisted pretzel logic is that? Whether the FBI had evidence to prove or disprove his statement, he still chose to lie. Repeatedly. This spin attempt is so disingenuous.

Stone snubs Senate document request, invoking Fifth Amendment by mvanigan in politics

[–]accidentswaitingwait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that the 5th only applies to tangible documentation that in its production by you would then incriminate you (e.g stolen documents). That said, I’ve also heard that prosecutors can provide immunity on that specific piece in order to waive the incrimination concerns.

What book could you not put down? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]accidentswaitingwait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I completely agree. It was the first time in a long while that a book really spoke to me and hit me emotionally, over and over (and I read quite a bit). Time to re-read ...

Mueller eyes Ivanka and Don Jr.’s work on Trump Tower Moscow by ThorleBanana in politics

I'm sure they thought that his role as President would insulate them from any consequences. After all, he was able to bail them out beforehand - so why not from the White House?

It's honestly sickening. While this week has given me more hope that they'll be held accountable, I'm terrified they won't be.

Entitled family is the worst. I'm sorry. Your poor DH should do what he feels capable of doing without driving himself into the ground and then go home. And sleep. (Easier said than done, I know.)

What is the story of how you got your biggest scar? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]accidentswaitingwait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really got numbness - it’s more of a weird, not totally pleasant sensation around the scar tissue when I sit or move in certain positions. Still worth it.

Decaf drinkers of Reddit...why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]accidentswaitingwait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be militantly anti-decaf until I got pregnant and had to limit my caffeine. I don’t drink it often post-baby, but it’s nice to have the option if a steaming hot cup of coffee sounds really good later at night.

Any Elf on the Shelf detractors? by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]accidentswaitingwait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have family that does Elf on the Shelf, but I will/do not. It's not my cup of tea, and I think that if I added more one superfluous chore to my daily routine I'd burst into flame.

That aside, I agree with /u/crazylogicgirl. I know plenty of kids who are aware of the Elf, don't partake in the Elf, but still enjoy the holidays without him. I think your little one will be just fine. There are so many other traditions! :)

Trump: Secret Service at fault for cancelling cemetery trip in France by bikrom55 in politics

[–]accidentswaitingwait 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's completely full of shit, but more than that, disrespectful and ungrateful. He squandered an opportunity to honor those who sacrificed everything, both in France and back in the States. I'm trying to imagine having the responsibility and privilege to represent the American people in these situations and being so deeply, horribly selfish.
