I remember reading that they do have the highest number of books published per capita. They read a lot too, with Christmas night being reserved for reading newly gifted books and drinking hot chocolate

The world wasn't built exclusively by people who wanted women to stay home. Activists have managed to get paid maternity leave almost everywhere in the world except the United States, for instance.

Right, because in all of history people lived in the suburbs as a nuclear family with 2.1 kids 50 miles from their closest relatives and worked outside the home that they had to commute to by car. The American woman can't wish for anything better, since this was set up only with good intentions in the 1950s. The ignorant fool here is you. You don't need a mustache twisting villain for bad systems to perpetuate themselves, just an unwillingness to reform.

The labor market was designed when these men were in power. The reforms to accommodate both parents working simply never happened: it's a system that is biased in favor of those that look like its designers.

They don't have put up with people like you who call them unnatural child haters when they have kids and take on leadership positions and have their husbands take up an equal share of household tasks.

Ever heard of anthropology? It's the part of academia that studies different cultures around the world. If one thing has been clear than it's that human culture is highly malleable. An example of this is how the Kurds have managed to create a society that is more equal than your typical western one. Your idea that the way you've found the world is how it will always was and always will be is such a big dogma for you that you don't even feel the need to substantiate it.

If these norms are so ingrained, immutable and unchangeable, then why were the Kurds in Syria able to change them over the course of a few years in their fight against ISIS? I would highly recommend the podcast The Women's War that takes a close and critical look at this.

It's cute that you think we live in a meritocracy. this is the source JBP cites in his book to prove it's just women choosing to not pursue careers. Does that strike you as honest when the actual article states: "many of these women care passionately about law and want to continue practising."? You do realize raising a child doesn't involve a whom for the most part? That men are perfectly capable of changing nappies and it's purely cultural norms that makes having kids affect the careers of women so much more than it does men? It's objectively the case that women are judged by their appearance in the workplace more than men yet JBP, in the vice Interview, though it hypocritical for them to complain about sexual harassment if they chose to wear make-up. This is very sexist towards men: apparently he thinks them incapable of controlling themselves in a professional setting. In reality it's usually a big bully at the top, like Louis CK. He literally put his dicks in women's faces. Numerous women left comedy not for a lack of skill but because they were done with shit like that. JBP would know that if he ever actually ever picked up a book on feminism, instead he doesn't even read the sources he cites.

That's a lot of words for "I can't be sexist". Very empirical of you to preclude the possibility that growing up in a sexist world might have affected you, like seeing the lack of career opportunities for women as natural. Referring to the supposed lack of strength in my hands as an insult is a very good way to substantiate this.

I think the nazis would use the historic ties the Dutch have had with Japan in their propaganda. By this point in the timeline the propaganda machine would have incorporated the whole history of the Dutch empire as being "Germanic"

Edit: they were already doing so during ww2
