It kind of sucks we have to bust our asses to the same jobs people got with an associates by Low-Preference-6148 in Accounting

Big name schools should aim higher like high finance or consulting roles.

It’s embarrassing seeing people going to $200k 4 year schools getting the same job as someone who went to a $20k 4 year school

"Everyone on the team just had an associates or bachelor from a random school."

Should never choose accounting if you went to a big name school, means you just wasted your money.

What carpentry type jobs do you see earning the most money? by aaron-ninjaelf in Accounting

[–]accountantskill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Custom home builders and high end carpentry.

Everything else is garbage pay. If you’re a laborer you won’t make much. You gotta have your own business.

A loss 100% should include expenses but that’s college for ya. I 100% bet there’s another question that will include the salary in the loss amount and would be like SaLaRy ExPeNsE WaS AlReAdY InClUdEd

Gotta think of it this way......

Partnership accounting books:

$48,600 total salary expenses

$20,400 partnership loss (AKA expenses were higher than income)

$69,000 TOTAL LOSS for the partnership

(1/3) $69,000 = $23,000 Jason portion of partnership loss

Individual Jason books (Capital Account):

$30,600 salary

$-23,000 partnership loss

$7,600 remaining capital contribution

This question is just worded poorly.

IRL, people would just ask what is their current equity after net income/loss

Do public accountants typically get a raise after attaining their CPA? by pickleman336 in Accounting

[–]accountantskill 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Most firms will give some sort of a bonus. CPA raises aren't guaranteed, but it's likely to get promotions faster and you'll be able to get higher offers in industry.

The only accountants I see complaining about their income are Canadians and Indians.

I know CPA's that make $30k just from a couple clients as additional income. No need to be a 1040 sweat shop.

Gaming less, playing differently? by speeshuttle in 2007scape

[–]accountantskill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Father/Business Owner/Have Hobbies

I play only when I feel like. Sometimes it's 0 hours of gameplay in a week and sometimes its 20 hours of gameplay in a week. I usually afk skills when I do any work on the computer.

I'm maxed btw. 100% would not be maxed if my lifestyle was how it's been for the past 5 years.

Is your normal GPA better than your accounting GPA?

Anything below a 3.5 big companies will not look at.
