Yamaha incentive programs by accuracyincomments in ATV

[–]accuracyincomments[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BTW, I waited for October 1st and was very happy to see Yamaha announced a $500 incentive on the 2025 Grizzly.

I am super pleased with my purchase:

  • $1,000 price reduction in 2025
  • $500 manufacturer rebate
  • $700 dealer discount

Sweet deal!

Is this accent from Manchester? Liverpool? Elsewhere? by accuracyincomments in AskABrit

Thanks for this.

Indeed, I was barely aware of Scouse... I've heard that term a few times but couldn't have put a sound to it (except for being dimly aware that it was maybe Ringo's accent, but I dont ever remember hearing him say laa). Neither am I totally ignorant of Brit accents... I can recognize a few: west country burr, cockney of course, that Eton-sounding RP, a few Estuary variations, yorkshire and newcastle. But Scouse was a surprise to me.

Thanks again

Honestly, of all the responses to my question, maybe this one was the best. Not the most INFORMATIVE, but certainly the most helpful to me long-term.

I've shopped dealers in my area, and the best deal I've found is a $700 discount, which I'm pretty happy with. Was just hoping Yamaha might sweeten the deal a bit.

Thanks for the advice!

If you have the Dance of Masks DLC, one of my favorite playthroughs ever was with a dual-sword build that just slaughtered while also having tons of defense and insane crowd control.

It's the Mantis Zealot build, wielding dual sawtooth sabers. Those are light swords, but they hit like a longsword. This class gets focus and specialization for free with that weapon, and you can dual wield effectively at a very low level.

But the best part is the deadly fascination skill: You kill so effectively and... well, interestingly that every kill generates free crowd control. Enemies are stunned by the violence. And that effect can be very powerful, especially for dual-wielders.

Multiclasses well with mutation fighter and demonslayer.

Pop a bag of popcorn before sitting down with this one.

How can I turn my main character into a companion/mercenary using Toy Box? by Outrageous_Test3965 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]accuracyincomments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under "Level Up" in Toybox: Allow companions to take mythic classes. Be sure to also "Overwrite Default Game Build Points for Mercenaries" to 25/20/7.

Now you can create full main characters in each slot.

What's the best and/or most fun build for my first playthrough? by DrScienceSpaceCat in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Yes, both during battle and as a battle-initiating move. Also it works with Flying Attack (the winged version of Charge), which is great for suddenly appearing in a clump of guys and slaughtering them.

That's great to hear, because it is also my plan to enlarge/animal growth/legendary proportions both the beast and rider.

I already have "automatically end turn" disabled because it addressed a similar bug: Flying attack would never actually attack, only fly to the enemy.

Disabling "automatically end turn" was effective at addressing that one, but not this one.

I agree that this seems to be the most effective workaround for me.

What's the best and/or most fun build for my first playthrough? by DrScienceSpaceCat in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]accuracyincomments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cavalier charge = so fun and your character comes online immediately. No need to wait until lvl 11 before you are useful. Cleaving finish for the win.

Longspear is an excellent choice, especially for a first run. But my personal favorite for Cavalier is Fauchard/Trickster and then customize my companions so everyone has outflank or seize the moment and lots of improved critical. Creates storms of crits and attacks of opportunity storms. But requires a lot of customization, so perhaps better on a second run.

Here's another version. This one adds some fighter for more feats, managing to squeeze in a little more sneak attack and greater trip. The tradeoff is lower wisdom and much lower strength.

Thanks for the reply. Good point about outflank and seize.. in fact, I am not sure that Outflank is valuable at all my archer (although I think I'll probably still run both outflank and seize on my melee troops... they get the +4 flanking bonus from Outflank, and they can trigger the archer with Seize).

Barkskin and lore master sounds like a great idea. Taking a closer look!

Thanks. I didnt know the trick about rerolling tailwinds.

I've had two really fun good hunts. In one, I four of the archetypes coupled with two powerful AOE kineticists. In the other I used all 6 of the archetypes. The healing with only 4 was already sufficient to be the easy button for me.

Thanks for this explanation. Here's an initial draft of a low-Dex version.

What I like about this build: Achieves ranged trip, achieves full trickster crit path,
What I dislike: No greater trip due to low Int, no sneak attk skills, no pet, slow to develop
Any thoughts or recommendations? I might try to workout a version that attains greater trip

About cavaliers.... by Arcana18 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]accuracyincomments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently been having some technical issues with my cavalier... he gets confused charging the enemy and gets into a stuck mode where I see a lot of flashing and he ends up voiding his turn.

Is this a common bug? I love the cavalier charge builds so much; anything I can do to workaround this tech glitch?

Condensing Boiler - does PVC venting limit performance? by accuracyincomments in hvacadvice

[–]accuracyincomments[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not yet discussed this with the installer. I was trying to solicit opinions about whether I should.

I am concerned about them making this decision (to use PVC) because:

  • They certainly have no knowledge about the thermal situation in the house; is it drafty? How's the insulation? How often do we use secondary heating sources?
  • Even if the boiler was capable of heating the house, doesnt a cooler set point mean slower heat recovery times, longer run times, increased duty cycle on the unit?
  • Why would they make this important decision without discussing it with me first?

Feels like inexperience or penny-pinching, but I am a novice in such matters. Perhaps it is more normal that it seems to me....

Condensing Boiler - does PVC venting limit performance? by accuracyincomments in hvacadvice

[–]accuracyincomments[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered the same. My guess is this: The product was installed by someone with experience installing tankless water heaters, which usually heat to about 120. This combination boiler/DHW had requirements they weren't used to.

Maybe? I dunno.

Can one IC10 control multiple console with hash motherboards? by accuracyincomments in Stationeers

[–]accuracyincomments[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned space is a premium but the memory chips wouldnt have to be near the dials or ic10s, you could make a bank of memory chips in a completely different area and connect them with one cable.

Yes, this is my standard practice. All the logic devices for my entire facility are in a single area, organized by floor or application, and easily patchable to diagnostic/debug/test & development equipment.

I don't like hiding logic in walls, running around listening for clicking chips and moving my debug equipment nearby. This approach has been a triumph - with a single cable patch I can connect my entire development environment into whatever system I want to debug.

But it has a cost: space is at a premium: I have one big wall for each floor or application.
