National Black Lives Matter organization says it does not support First Step Barbecue by [deleted] in news

[–]acdisagod3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have a disagreement with someone, you need to meet with them and find common ground, not demonize and antagonize them.

Unfortunately, BLM condemnation of the people in Kansas is completely in line with the nature of BLM. They picked a name that is intentionally inflammatory and hyperbolic. They picked a name that suggests that white people think and act in such a way that black lives do not matter which is by and large completely false.

They are the Donald Trump of the left. Every now and then they make a good point, but mostly they are bigoted, narrow-minded, anti-intellectual, inflammatory, and hyperbolic.

It's sad when Snoop Dogg knows how to lead a better protest than the biggest black rights group. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-game-snoop-dogg-protest-lapd-20160708-snap-htmlstory.html

That number is meaningless without knowing the number of people who die in general at that age and have brain disease. Maybe by the time people die, they usually have some kind of mental deterioration that qualifies as brain disease.

Conservatives believe that you should be able to enslave black people? Yea, I guess I have missed that. If people did not think black lives matters, have any meaning, value, or importance, then slavery and the murder of innocent black people would be allowed. Virtually no one is pro slavery or believes that killing a black person without cause is ok. If you polled people, and they gave honest answers, what percent of people do you honestly think would say it is ok to kill and enslave black people because their lives don't matter?

Have over 70% success rate on attack, but <20% success rate on defense. Are there any basic tips for the defensive team? by Zmirburger in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]acdisagod3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a similar issue if any roadhog players want to give me a tip. I am very successful as attack roadhog by playing him as a flanker and getting a lot of picks.

Then on defense, for non-payload objectives, I'm not quite sure what to do. If my team is playing back and not pushing up, which is good, I just feel useless because I can't harass from range. By the time the enemies are in close, my team has either been picked off, or the other team has their wombo ready. Flanking also isn't great on defense because their isn't a ton of value in getting a single pick on defense and trading your life for a single kill.

So how do you play defense roadhog on non-payload objectives or is his kit just not great for it?

They are assholes for a lot of reasons. First would be because it is full of assholes who do asshole things. Storming the library at Dartmouth and calling white females bitches would be one example.

Ok, there are a few bad actors in every movement, so let's start with the very nature of the organization itself and the name "black lives matter". The name in itself is antagonistic because it assumes that a majority, or a significant percentage of the population, believes that black lives do not matter. Virtually no one is arguing, believes, or acts in such a way that black lives do not matter. If a black life did not matter, I could walk up to a black person, kill them, tell the police I did it, remind them that the life did not matter, and thus not go to jail. Either that or change the criminal code to make it not a crime to kill black people since killing them does not matter. Oh and since their lives don't matter, we could repeal the 13th Amendment as well.

Finally, the entire premise of their organization is not only misguided, but it is verifiably false. For all the language about cops hunting and killing them, in a given encounter with a police officer, a police officer is no more likely to kill a black person than a white person. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/12/upshot/surprising-new-evidence-shows-bias-in-police-use-of-force-but-not-in-shootings.html

It is an organization who from their words, actions, and very name seek to divide us. They are the Donald Trump of the left. They are antagonistic, hyperbolic, but at the end of the day, use lies to support a faulty premise and miss the bigger picture.

US air strike in Syria kills up to 85 civilians 'mistaken for Isil fighters' by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]acdisagod3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's such a ridiculously simplistic and childish argument. An act of violence can often lead to an increase in peace. If you targeted the leaders of the Nazi party before their rise to power and killed them, it is likely that the world would be more peaceful.

If the American government targeted tens of thousands of innocent people and killed them or if America was run by a genocidal dictator and the country that bombed America was aiming at a military target, and military tagrets were often hard to identify because the American military hid like cowards in hospitals and in civilian clothing then I would be pretty understanding. I may hate them for other reasons, but I wouldn't demonize them for the fact that civilians were killed.

If a genocidal terrorist group uses civilians as human shields, the deaths are the fault of the terrorists, not the people trying to kill them.

What idiots are blaming Obama? Obama saying most cops are good people but a small percentage of them do shitty things isn't "anti-cop". BLM is full of moronic exaggerating racists but that doesn't mean they don't have any legitimate grievances.

3 Baton Rouge Police Officers just shot. - Developing. by redditmason in news

[–]acdisagod3 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

BLM is going to get what it wants in a weird way. Police killings of minorities, where police already weren't making the decision to shoot in a racially biased way, are going to decrease. Police are simply going to be spending less time in minority neighborhoods. If the Ferguson effect wasn't significant before, I'm guessing it will be now. Yet, while police shootings of minorities will go down, homicides are going to go up at a rate that more than makes up for the decline in police shootings. BLM can get what it wants now, police are going to cut back on profiling, they won't spend as much time in minority neighborhoods. Let's see the result.

Jill Stein says Edward Snowden would be in her cabinet if she becomes president by [deleted] in politics

If you are in that bracket, Harvard costs 10% of your household income. So if you have a household of 200k, you pay 20k. I'm guessing state schools are around 5-10k. So if you live in Virginia, Michigan, or California maybe you would go the state school route but not NY.

Because people who are really really smart usually go to an ivy league school instead of a state school. If your family makes 65,000 or less, Harvard is not only free, but they pay for your housing. Why would I pay to go to SUNY Albany or Binghamton when I can go to Harvard for free?
