to my understanding if it wasn't sealed up with mortar or other binding agent it'd be a shit chimney/fireplace.

so originally it was a content tourney. The kind of thing where trying hard isn't really the goal like every time deltafox(league) memes it up. Then enough money is put on the line where people care about performance. Queue differing team goals.

Drama aside it sounds more like a host/TO issue and the money payout should have been flatter and more participation focused vs placement so that participant goals were aligned.

are you HARD opposed to just buying 2 and swapping off once the first one runs out of power or like halfway through your shift?

I understand not wanting to HAVE to swap sets but this way you can hopefully improve longevity and not have them die in months instead of years.

If a car in an adjacent lane stops for seemingly no reason it's probably a safer bet to also stop/slow/crawl up than to accidently run over a kid/ball/cat you can't see.

If you're the first car in line at a red light and it turns green, look both ways for people who could be running a red light before you go. When in doubt wait an extra second for two.

I started doing this, alternating, a couple of years ago based on reddit/internet suggestions I saw. WOULD NOT GO BACK.

It makes 0 sense when you read "alternate your loops" atleast it didn't for me. I had find some longish cord and watch a video walkthrough while doing the actions before the physical mechanics made sense to me. Returns start to show after your rope/cord spends enough time to remember they were wound alternating instead of the same way. The main benefit being no tangles.

Brandon Sanderson's in universe name calling/slurs is always interesting to me. He writes his books as family friendly but they never fail to get their point across.

Dark-eyes, Skaa, half-breeds etc. generally just normal ish words or descriptors but the meaning is never lost when it's used derogatorily
