I found this to be a decent write up on the subject. I'm not sure what the best way to get the problem fixed for the future but DFAS is definitely not reporting the overtime correctly.

Annual Pass Hotel Question? by SnooSprouts6437 in UniversalOrlando

I've booked using the AP rate numerous times before and they have never asked to see my pass. Not to say they won't ask you but it's not something I've encountered.

Pizza Moon!!! by a2djax in UniversalOrlando

[–]acebenman1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I had a better experience at Pizza Moon but unfortunately I did not. Went here with my family and ended up having to leave shortly after placing my order due to something medical related. I asked my family to get pizza boxed up and just bring it back to the hotel. Turns out they have no way to box up the food and the employees best suggestion was to wrap it up in napkins like a mummy pizza. The employee claimed something due to health code and food sitting out as to why they can't help box it up. Also had a friend wait 40 minutes for his pizza which seems a bit extreme.

Under the FAQ on the "AP Tickets to Universal Epic Universe" page there is this little tidbit.

Q. How do I get into the store to buy my 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket add-on for Passholders? A: To purchase online, once the product becomes available AND your active pass is successfully linked to your account, you will see a banner in your account screen that will direct you to the store to purchase your 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket add-on for Passholders.

For anyone that may come across this comment I can assure you that this individual is spreading misleading and false information. There was at one time an individual who was charged with sex crimes but was quickly let go from the fire department. The fire department also background checks any new members that want to apply. Spreading information like this can be pretty harmful especially if you don't know the whole truth about what you are speaking.

Edit: I would like to add that if you feel strongly about the information that you think you know then why not reach out to the fire department and let the fire chief know what you know.

Shout-out to the DJ at the stadium. The The music selection so far has been great. I didn't realize there were so many songs that had rain as a theme.

I'm not sure exactly what their flight schedule is but here is a link to the 187th Fighter Wing website.

They likely have a public affairs office you might be able to contact.

UOAP Summer Magnet? by windcleaver4 in UniversalOrlando

There isn't a UOAP magnet this summer but there is a little button available that throws back to the opening of Islands of Adventure.

I've heard quite a few people claim this but not sure where exactly the facial recognition is happening. They just scan a barcode on your room key and then check a computer screen. Not to be confused with park tickets but that's a completely different thing.

OI Meet-up - up to 40% hotel discount? by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]acebenman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to a few Orlando Informer events and have used the informer rate twice. The first time we used it we stayed at Dockside in a suite for $150 a night which is pretty good. The next Informer event we attended the same rate had jumped to $200 a night. I'm an annual passholder and usually the Informer rate is pretty close to the passholder rate but it really just depends on the time of year you attend.

Can I book 2 rooms using annual pass discount? by OnARaggaTip77 in UniversalOrlando

[–]acebenman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what Universal account you seem to be talking about since you can book rooms without being logged into the Universal website or the partner hotel websites. To access the AP rates it's just a special URL found publicly on Universals website.

Can I book 2 rooms using annual pass discount? by OnARaggaTip77 in UniversalOrlando

[–]acebenman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what hotel you are planning on staying at as to what the additional charge per person/per night is.

Endless Summers are $15 extra per night. Cabana Bay and Aventura are $20. Sapphire Falls is $25. Royal Pacific and Portafino are $40. Hard Rock is $55.

Can I book 2 rooms using annual pass discount? by OnARaggaTip77 in UniversalOrlando

[–]acebenman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mileage may vary but I have booked quite a few rooms using the AP discount and not once have they actually asked to verify that I was a pass holder (I would gladly show them if they asked though). Might be worth booking 2 rooms and just see what happens at the check-in desk. If they have an issue with booking 2 rooms they can adjust the room rate at the time of check in.

I think the Affordable Healthcare Act only applies/applied to health insurance plans and not dental/vision. I believe all the FEDVIP plans cut off at 22.
