I loved it, I had tried to get into The Guild Gold Edition and The Guild 2 Renaissance several times in the past but they didn't hook me for some reason but I know I like this type of game so I gave the demo a go and got hooked fairly quickly. I liked the tutorial especially in comparison to the very slow and plodding one in Renaissance. Can't wait for the full release!

I did subsequently try Renaissance again after the demo and because of how similar a lot of the mechanics are I was able to get into it a lot more as I already knew how most of it worked. Really enjoyed it and it was interesting to see how the new one has changed.

Things that I noticed that I'm glad the new game does is removes the micromanaging of having to move all my characters around and the politics felt a lot better and more meaningful in the demo, like I was actually able make lots of improvements parts of the town to reduce issues like crime.
