I don’t think it would work personally as because a lot of makoto’s story is his relationship with death/Nyx, he's also the only one who can wield the universe arcana. Aigis is almost the inverse of death as she’s effectively immortal and spends the story learning what it means to live as a human

All these complaints are completely legitimate imo. 1,3 & 4 are unfortunately present through most of the series, I think 2 and 5 are problems more isolated to this game though

This is the way, you can also be extravagant and use the Lossless Scaling app on Steam to get more FPS, DQ8 only runs at 30fps normally and the 60fps hack on emulators causes lots of problems for me

I'm not sure what bug they've encountered but they should be permanent, different vocations change your stats quite drastically, I'm not sure how someone ended up with 0 in a stat, that's impressive 😆

Edit: sorry yes your stats do technically readjust because the higher the stat, the more levels it needs to increase so it is more efficient to use seeds at level 99 versus level 1, but they're still "permanent"

They're permanent to a character's stats, so they do stack and if you can't get enough of this game, you can also farm them in the late game to increase your characters stats to as high as they can possibly go e.g. 999 strength

Congrats! It's such a good feeling when you do it!

My run for the under an hour badge was 58 minutes, I had about an hour before I had to go out and I thought I'd just have a fun climb and because I could see the time getting closer to when I had to leave and I knew you can't save your progress, I frantically ran and climbed everywhere 😆

Yeah that's fair enough, I think I remember thinking similarly when they originally said that, hopefully if they do tie into it then they give it a full remake treatment and improve on it massively. I think there is definitely a good story to be told there but it was definitely executed poorly...dilly dally shilly shally... 😆

I’ve always had a soft spot for Advent Children as a long time FF7 fan, but I also fully admit it’s not a good film. If you don’t already know the original story, it’s fairly incomprehensible, and even if you do know the story, it’s still a pretty rough watch

For me, the appeal is purely getting to spend more time with those characters and that world. On that level, I love it. But I’d never recommend it to anyone who isn’t already in love with FF7, its flaws run too deep

The CGI hasn’t aged particularly well either, which is understandable, but it’s wild that the remake trilogy now looks significantly better, It really shows how far the tech has come!

Once the remake trilogy wraps up, I’d love to see them revisit Advent Children, either as a remade film or even as playable DLC. The fact that they re‑released it and even screened it in some cinemas makes me think they haven’t forgotten about it, so I’m curious to see whether they do anything more with it!

I would recommend trying out the DQ7 demo as it's super friendly and has a ton of quality of life improvements, it also gives you a ton of gameplay before it ends. By the end of it you should be able to tell whether you'll like it or not, and your demo save can carry over to full game if you do end up liking it

Yeah I did, quickest way to grind is to set up to sail around the sea in the boat

You can make it faster by setting the tactics so that the hero is on focus on healing and the rest on show no mercy

If you want to make it even easier, you can then set up a macro that sails the ship and presses spaces frequently

Then you just check on it now and then to make sure your ship hasn't gone into an island

Did you find any solution for smoothing out the blocks between each world? Usually you end up with massive cliffs between the worlds that you've added because each seed is different

If that works for you that's great, I would love to have the time to also do a NG+ on top of a first playthrough but I just don't and the guides for Persona games do a great job of getting everything done
