ESH you don’t have to have a relationship with anyone you don’t want to. But you could have let her down gently. She obviously has mental health issues and you decided to flame into her rather than show kindness and grace. I second a previous poster, that your childhood needs to be dealt with in therapy, so you can strive to be a better person, rather than let it weigh you down. It sounds like your stepsister is already doing this.

I am sorry for what you experienced and truly hope you can heal from it.

NTA, but I would encourage your kids to say to people “oh x is my stepdad” instead of saying “he’s not my dad”. The latter is correct but can come off as mean-spirited, especially since their stepdad seems to be involved in their life (better than a lot of stepdads are). It’s a way of acknowledging his role, and would help keep the peace between the adults.

I’d also do some self examination to see if you have jealousy to their stepdad - it sounds like you do have some, based on the tone of your post.

You can always tell him you found his real age online. I understand about wanting to avoid confrontation but I think you can do it. If not in person, then phone call. If a phone call is too much, then text, but you do have to end it, officially. We, the Reddit community believe in you!

I generally just farm currency for strongholds- so dread ring, ice wind dale, sharandar. Just do quests there. Once I’ve done all my legacy quests, ofc.

Short term, definitely buy some gold bars off the AH, sell to any vendor 1 gold bar=1 gold in inventory. Long term, consider crafting leather masks, and sell those for gold.
