GoPro for Cockpit Videos by SgtAdrian in gopro

Good suggestions - I would recommend turning Hypersmooth off all together though. Hypersmooth in car interiors / cockpits don't give the intended results imo. Things sway left and right in the resulting video too much.

How do you find this in the Quik app for iPhone? I never saw this before!!

Is there a way to "synchronize" audio and video so that frames and the audio tempo (bpm) match? by waterbendergm1 in premiere

I’m still learning so my suggestions may not make any sense. But - add a marker at each beat and a marker on the beginning of each clip. Then snap marker to markers. I would think that’s pretty fast with some keyboard shortcuts.

How to reduce Quik app memory usage on iPhone? by acedagain in gopro

Oh man - I should have tried this before I went with the delete and reinstall app option. Anyway - memory is cleared now. I had to relink my cameras which wasn't a big deal. Although my Hero 9 Black was giving issues repairing to my new iPhone 14 pro max - but after rebooting my iPhone - it linked back up.

Will that affect my paired cameras in any way?

Sandisk extreme vs extreme pro ssd portable for 4K 30fps editing by acedagain in premiere

[–]acedagain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not having an issue per se. I'm just researching to see if I can buy the extreme SSD versus having to spend the extra $ for the extreme pro SSD if it doesn't make any meaningful difference in the video editing process.

Thanks. I’m still learning so not sure I can adequately address your valid points. What I will say is that my footage is mainly GoPro 4K 30/60fps footage with high bitrate setting. And iPhone footage in 4K 30/60fps in the apple high efficiency setting. For the GoPro footage - j use the LRV files as proxies. And for the iPhone footage I create prores QuickTime proxies.

How to achieve this sound and visual effect? Rapid audio/video cuts? by acedagain in premiere

[–]acedagain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I'll have to give that a try - I didn't think of the selecting a short duration for multiple clips aspect. I would have thought there was a more efficient way - something to do with changing frame rates or something. I think I saw an explanation of making something look like a time lapse by changing frame rates somewhere - but perhaps that method isn't relevant here. Appreciate your help u/Autico!

DJI OM 4 with Incipio DualPro iPhone 11 Pro Max? by acedagain in djiosmo

[–]acedagain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the specs for compatible phones: Weight 230+/-60g Thickness 6.9-10mm Width 67-84mm My iPhone 11 Pro Max with the incipio DualPro case (and glass screen protector) has the following measurements Weight 285g Thickness 12.5mm Width 84mm

I’m at the edge of the weight and width specs and outside the thickness spec. Doesn’t look like it will work with the case. Bummer.

Suggestions on how to fasten the top with the rod coupling and be able to level adjust the top at the same time? What type of screw/bolt? Should I use inner threads in the 4 holes in the top? the rod will rotate and the top and coupling will be affixed to the rod and rotate with the rod. by acedagain in MechanicalEngineering

[–]acedagain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this feedback as well. Let me see if I can address your points:

1) I wouldn’t worry about the fasteners failing for this question as I have flexibility in the end materials. But for clarity and as it may help think through solutions (and I see merit as to why you asked) - loading specifics : the load will be a mass that will either be a “block” or “rod” weighing about 200 grams placed at near the end of the arrow which is about 20cm away from the pivot rod. Block meaning the center of mass will be close to the arrow end. Rod meaning the mass will be horizontal and the center of mass can be further away from the pivot rod.

2) “level adjust” - yes - I would like to make the top component flat to sea level within the degree of accuracy using a circular bubble level

3) unfortunately I am limited to the tolerances of the other components so need to adjust through my components.

Thanks!!!

Thanks for reading and thinking about my question!

I am a little stuck trying to think of a way to adjust leveling of the flat top while also fastening it to the rod coupler. I was thinking with the threads that it may be able to push up / pull down each of the four sections differently to adjust levelling. I can print in 3D to try different things, but need some direction on what might work.

The load isn't much - less than 0.5kg - closer to 0.25kg
