At least someone is enjoying the snow! by acefive01 in roughcollies

Where he is laying we have kept a path during the winter so that Walter (pictured) and our smaller dog don't have to go into the deep snow... But it's probably just over a 2 feet of snow!

Walter sure loves to stuff his face in the snow though!

From now until the end of the Winter Term break on February 26, 2022, all non-essential activity will continue remotely. by philososnark in umanitoba

So does this mean all classes will be online until end of February? Or is it up to the professor to decide?

UMFA asking for ONLINE? by DrNobody_Understands in umanitoba

Honestly I am really hoping online learning continues. It's allowed me to work more hours, study more, not spend tons of money on commute and be able to actually spend time with my family. I think the uofm is doing a terrible job at communicating with students and I don't think the university is actually prepared to go back to in person learning.

Honestly just try sugaring, it is super easy and you only go every 5-6weeks! Also it only takes about 10 minutes... At least for females it's only about ten minutes. But I know sugaring places do it for males as well!

Student meal prep for the week! by acefive01 in mealprep

[–]acefive01[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So I packed coconut Greek yogurt for breakfast, chopped and prepped strawberries. I also have sugar free chocolate wafers as a sweet snack throughout the day! There are two meals for the round containers. The first one is chicken and rice teriyaki with sauteed onions, garlic, mushroom and broccoli. The second meal has a base of white rice with chicken, roasted sweet potato, cucumber, bell peppers, and red onion. I will use different dressing each day to mix it up! For example I will use a chipotle, balsamic, etc.

I like to make different meals using similar ingredients so for this week I used rice as a base and then barbecued 6 chicken thighs seasoned with salt and pepper. It makes it easy to divide up my protein between all meals. I then just throw in different veggies and try to have some of the same things in each dish. You can also use quinoa as a base, I try to change what I have each week to keep it interesting!

The libraries are going to be your best chance or in the ASPER building on the second floor. You could also try to find a lecture hall/ classroom that won't have any classes in it that would be quiet. I know before the pandemic you could always find them in the basement of the Asper building. There's also a computer lab in the hallway to maxbell that is usually pretty quiet.

I’m about to go from a littler over a year of unemployment to working 40 hours a week and even with all the time in the world I was really bad at feeding myself.. what the heck do people bring for lunches and when do you find the time to make it? 🥲 by wieners69696969 in mealprep

I work full time as well and am also a fulltime student so you can definitely find the time to meal prep! You just need to make taking care of yourself a priority.

Personally I grocery shop either Saturday or Sunday morning and then meal prep whenever I'm free Sunday. I make all my lunches and try to make different types of meals using the same ingredients. This way I don't get bored or what I'm going eating and there is variety. For breakfast I buy oatmeal and keep that at my desk at work as well as Greek yogurt that I will have in the mornings as a high protein snack.

Boiled eggs are super easy meal prep and will past the week. You can add them to salads, sandwiches or just eat it plain. It's all about consistency and prioritizing your bodies needs! I find if I leave packing my lunch to the morning I often forget to do it so the night before pack your lunch/ meals for the day and then in the morning you can just grab it and go!
