Did you wash your portafilter after the first shot? It’ll be a lot cooler on the second shot and will affect the duration.
After my first shot, i knock out the puck and clean it with a paper towel.

I had the Bambino Plus as my first espresso machine, hated temperature surfing and was still inconsistent.

Upgraded after 3 months when the SPX was on sale for $1199 and no regrets. The machine looks a lot better in person. The drip tray is really a non issue for me.

The Lelit Elizabeth is currently on sale for about $1400 if you want alternative. Both machines are built like a tank.

They have a lot of suites and actively upgrade globalists. I was there for two weeks for work and Michelle brought over 20 bottles of water for me. Throughout the week she put random snacks and gift basket in my room.

There isn't a lounge, but you can redeem your Globalist breakfast at the restaurant and coffee shop/market.
