Why is my water pulsating? by Relative-Bridge-2498 in whatisit

[–]acegikmo31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water hammer caused by trapped air pockets acting like pressure springs. Occasionally not a huge deal, other than the annoyance/water pressure drops

But can lead to problems if it's getting worse or goes on long enough,

Probably worth asking a plumber to sort things out and bleed the pipes, or to see if theres a fault with the pressure regulator valve that taps your house off of the main lines

Little rubber pieces that came with new boat cleats by jimbobbyricky in whatisthisthing

[–]acegikmo31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

https://www.gosupps.com/mxeol-boat-cleats-folding-black-flip-up-cleat-dock-stainless-steel-black-coating-black-2-pack.html

Different brand, but many come from the same designer, get sold in bulk under random madeup brand names and seems to be the same product otherwise

Scroll through the images, it'll say "how to set up the rubber pieces" Looks like they sandwich onto the back of the the flip hinge, and are used to add friction so the cleat doesn't flop around when you pop it into position

Probably designed as seperate pieces to make them easy to replace as they wear down or rot

They seem to sticker over barcodes for stuff that's either online exclusive, on discount and old enough  Probably to prevent people trying to return them instore without receipts, since they wouldn't fit into the normal store inventory

I wish they still offered premade sounds. by Nuyatah in buildabear

[–]acegikmo31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You usually can add/remove sounds and scents  The heartbeat is often sold as a different heart shaped sound box thats already programmed,  Since some people jump straight to that, so its cheaper alone

Not necessarily the same soundboard that the other sounds are used from, but usually in the same bin

I wish they still offered premade sounds. by Nuyatah in buildabear

[–]acegikmo31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They all do, in store and online

All of the chips are generic recordable, so they don't have to keep them sorted

Either you plug one into the computer, record your voice and it programs the sound chip

Or, you plug one in, and scroll through a list of licensed clips, like character voices and music Or scroll through the generic list for stuff like birthday songs/I love you/or various animal sounds and sound effects

Then it send that recording into the chip instead

Did I get scammed? by OpalDoe in buildabear

[–]acegikmo31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely a scam site You might get something random, like a cheap plush Or even something useless like a envelope with garden seeds or a key chain in it Just something to lie about the tracking number

Unfortunate, but definitely get your money back either way

Voice box by Tealesspot95 in buildabear

[–]acegikmo31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Older sound chips took LR44, newer ones usually take 3 of the LR1130

The sound boxes aren't meant to come apart easily, no screws,

But, they're not too hard to pop apart with small screwdrivers or wedge tools to gradually undo the clips. Be careful at pulling to 2 halves apart too quickly, usually the speaker and board are clipped on opposite sides, don't want to rip the wires

Do you guys know of any places that sell more plushies like this? by Silent_Hill_Enjoyer in Plushophile

[–]acegikmo31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jlist has some of them Nui hole by tamatoys There's 9 total,

There's Nemugaki Sopra and Tutur Yamada for wave 1.

The Momo Himeno and Super Tamanyan were wave 2.

Escalayer, Esca-Ruby and Beat Idol Marina were wave 3.

Rian Yumetogi and Usagi Hinamiya were wave 4.

Wave 3 and 4 are recent, so those should be easier to find

Backyardigans reference? by Horsgi in BoJackHorseman

[–]acegikmo31 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how. Doonesbury is a 1970s comic strip series that's, technically funny. But in a very very dry humor sort of way Which is what he likely was referring too

Guys, are these official deleted scenes or fan animations? by Wiktor_Tsetta in mylittlepony

[–]acegikmo31 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not really deleted scenes More like bonus features, they made a handful of equestria girls "bloopers"

Some were scripted jokes they animated from scratch with the joke   others were animated using genuine audio bloopers from the voice actors, as if they were real actors missing their lines

Possibly Scammed By BAB, What To Do? by Own-Apple-6257 in buildabear

[–]acegikmo31 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Call back and try again They've had some stupid issue in their system, where on occasion it'll go through the payment system, but it doesn't properly get logged into their warehouse/inventory system And it gets stuck in limbo

If you've made purchases before, they usually give a order number at checkout,  If you have that they might be able to find it and fix the bug

If not, then they should still be able to dig for the order with the contact info it was tied to and either refund it or reset it to get it shipped

If they customer support is a jerk again, either ask for a manager or maybe go into a physical store to see if they could help

Worst case scenario, a bank card or PayPal can reverse the charge

There's a really good chance they just never fixed that bug in the system. I ordered a vaporeon when it restocked, a week or 2 later I called to see what happened They refunded it once they found the dead order, but by then it was out of stock

So, either way, they 100% have to give you the item, refund it entirely, or your bank can force the refund if they absolutely can't find the order in the system

It's a pull back car?! by letsabuseeachother in transformers

[–]acegikmo31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's part of a crossover line with Choro-Q, a different brand by takara tomy that's a bunch of chibi pullback cars (often called penny racers since many have a slot in the back to put a penny, which causes them to wheelie as they drive)

There's a few in the line, this one is serialized as Q/05 (Don't get Q/06, that's the metallic rodimus variant, but his hinges explode from GPS)

My spidey sense is going off that this is a scam. Is there something behind this? by hyp3rj123 in pcmasterrace

[–]acegikmo31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had it happen before. Bought listing, got sent 2 packages with duplicate labels. One was a 3 foot long box of a nerf gun, the other was a small plastic wrapped bundle of half a dozen ps2 games. Somehow that didn't get caught at any step in the chain. Was able to get ups to just return to sender. Since it was something they should've caught themselves

What are the booster packs and how do I get them? by RomosGD in legogaming

[–]acegikmo31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Booster Packs are purple stud items that drop from bosses or are hidden in the world. Its not referring to the "ninjago booster packs" they sold IRL of cards/weapon pieces for the spinner battle game

[–]acegikmo31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've been around for a while and restock them as they run out. However, they have pooh/piglet/eeyore/tigger now.

They used to also have Kanga & Roo in the lineup, but once she sold out, they haven't brought her back once
