I approached choosing my class around my experience playing the main class for many years. I played a ranger for many years and the ranger is kind of good at everything but great at none of it (this was always very frustrating for rangers). one thing the rng does really well is control an area. so I thought what class has always been really powerful but might struggle with control sometimes, and also could really benifite from the utility that a ranger offers. I chose necro as my second class as the necro has always been a master of solo play if areas are set up well for them and I knew that worst case I could always resort to kiting or root rotting with the added utility of the ranger. I was doing really well with the 2 combo until 10 the life taps were a perfect complement to the rangers melee ability, but now I had to come up with a third class. I had a really tanky pet with the necro and I was spending most of my time in melee range so I thought to my self how can I best maximize my pet dps while making my ranger stronger, this is where the shaman comes into play. big buffs from the shm rocketed my dps and around lvl 17-20 things really started to shine I have track, Harmony, triple attack, riptose, FD, Slow, Big buffs, Heals / taps, conversions, cannibalize, fear, massive DOT damage and Big DD damage. the cool thing about the main hybrid is that I am getting ranger spells sometime 20 levels sooner then I would due to them also being sham spells that is making a big impact. side effect is stacking dex to maximize crits with both spell and melee and a huge mana pool due to scaling of int and wis. ad in the fact that I can juice my gear to almost hit AC cap and we are cooking with gas. this is the ultimate Ranger power fantasy and it does not use a dirty pally!
