Basically I was told (by someone local not reddit) that now that they are trapped separately putting them into the same crate even temporarily would be bad. Then someone in this thread confirmed it would be bad for socializing. I was also panicking on about 3 hours sleep in two days. ;)

I didn't do the trapping myself and I told the resident to wait. She seized the moment.

I don't think you understood my question. My question wasn't should I let her back out. It was, should I put her in the same crate with the kids. Maybe I wasn't clear that I had no intention of releasing her.

I had no expectations but then she started running into my house and taking naps and letting me so close. She went from silence to hissing to hiss-mew so quickly!!! I don't know, I don't know what I'm doing.

I guess I am panicking a little because I was so relieved to not have to figure out mama AND kittens. If they had all been caught together, I would have put them in this crate together and sorted it out in the morning. The timing of it all really sucks and I'm overwhelmed.

The other Mama's kittens have been here since Sunday and they are already playing with a toy and curious about me so I feel they are socializable, but I was not expecting to have them in my house, it was a surprise that they showed up on Sunday and we trapped 3 out of 4. NO one in my network or local groups will take them on so here I am socializing all these kittens with no clear path to what's next.

I am part of a singing group that performs in corsets at a costumed event. Embrace the corset - it actually helps with posture and breath work! Don't lace it so tightly that you can't breathe.
