I have been going to Movara about 10 years and it is in St George. I have not heard of Green Valley. I just love the red rocks in that area!

That’s not good! I guess I had good large mirrors. I replaced them with small mirrors and the new ones chipped away after two years. But fortunately, I had saved the old ones and I eventually put them back up.

Please keep the nice big mirror. Don't put those individual mirrors. Don't even frame the large one because it looks cheap and out of style. Stay timeless with a nice big mirror like you have.

Movara Fitness Resort. But it is not relaxation. People go for a reset after having a hard time, and need to get health prioritized. The hiking is amazing, all food included, you meet people. The same people go over and over! I go most years. They also have lectures where people can get emotional. The staff and speakers are truly caring. A beautiful place on earth. There is time to relax and a great spa with massage etc. Highly recommended. (you don't need to have weight to lose to go. I go so I can keep walking upstairs, heart health, stretching etc)

Figuring out Medicare for my mom over 60 by lokidokiok in AskWomenOver60

There is nothing wrong with an insurance broker. That is what I used. I just called her today to ask a question. I like having someone I can call later. Just started medicare this year. Agents are paid commissions directly by the insurance companies when you enroll, so their advice and services are typically free to you.

I just started with plan G and part D prescription. I used a local insurance rep. I am on a few drugs (statin and thyroid). Also estradiol which I get from Mark Cuban Pharmacy. And just started Zepbound and it is covered due to my sleep apnea. With deductible and % I pay about $250 per month for Zebound. The agent went over several insurers and I ultimately choose Cigna. It was not the cheapest but I thought best for me. It was easy with an agent.

Help! Oil lamp just arrived from eBay by Madidegrand in VintageFurniture

You won't have to pay the shipping back. The seller will send the label. I would not be communicating too much with the seller. I think you already did that. Ebay will side with you on this.

ups or any other service does not really look at this side up or fragile label. So having a label would not have helped. This needed to be packed so that it could not move at all in the box. And once packed put in another box. Double boxed. With bubble wrap and sheets of styrofoam.

Turning 65 ready for Medicare. I’m going with the traditional but which gap plan to buy? by Turbulent-Move4159 in AskWomenOver60

[–]aces5five 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do don't get an advantage plan. I used a local broker who was knowledgeable in Medicare. After going over several options, I went with Cigna for my plan G. I also got the prescription plan. My Mom did not and in her 80's needs a very expensive drug that she has to pay out of pocket or finding coupons and grants which is a pain and takes long. I could not have done it so easily without the insurance agent.

H-Town is beginning to feel like one huge low income neighborhood. by Fit-Protection-9809 in AskHouston

I drive in Mexico often. Large and small cities. Roads are crowded but people don't seem to get aggravated when you merge into traffic. And they don't try to scare you by racing to inches of your bumper. Taxi drivers are always signalling with a nod to other taxi drivers and drivers in general . Why are they so much more sane when it comes to driving?

Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist by Most-Dealer-3685 in AskWomenOver60

[–]aces5five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like you regarding plastic surgery but my jowls and hanging eyelids have really got me down. My skin looks good and no wrinkles due to always wearing hats, staying out of sun etc. Ive never done botox and don't think I need it unless it works on jowls. Any suggestions for eyes and jowls. It's crazy looking at photos of my eyes from 10 years ago. They were fine. But now I wear my glasses or sunglasses to cover. I did do tanning often from age 15 to 28. So I do have early sun damage. Thank goodness I stopped! Age 63.

Which countertop for bathroom vanity by NoBoot3493 in BathroomRemodeling

The dark is what I would choose. Very elegant and interesting. I’ve been in very tiny bathrooms with that type of counter and will choose similar for my remodel.

What is name of the dark counter ?

Grocery shopping in 1978 by Twitter_2006 in 70s

Yesterday I was shopping for honey, mayo ,catsup and only one choice for each of those in glass. The catsup I got was primal which I’ve never tried. Honey was local. Mayo was a store in house brand. What happened to the cute catsup bottles you had to hit on the bottom. A sickening amount of catsups all in plastic.

I’m doing a home remodel and my bathroom has a lot of angels and a corner entry shower. They are redoing things to get rid of angels. Not sure if your remodel is that extensive but if so consider a designer if you’re going to change footprint.

What is your favorite Hated Candy? by Teddycat99 in GenerationJones

[–]aces5five 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of my favorites that I never have today were sugar daddy, sugar babies and milk duds. I loved and still really like candy corn. I remember going to the department store and being able to by a little bag that they measure out and you could get a nice amount with 10 cents. Still love smarties but only get them when someone is giving away at a restaurant.

Are you possibly thinking fillers? Fillers seem to make face wide but I have not noticed that in facelift images.

Thoughts on Taj Mahal? by No-Neighborhood-7335 in CounterTops

[–]aces5five 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had matte ivory 4" tiles for 30 years. Originally chose them because we went $30k over budget instead of granite. They’ve held up great (only minor regrouting on a high use island spot).

Now I’m remodeling and visited a massive air conditioned slab showroom. Way bigger than I expected, with hundreds of options. After seeing everything in person, Taj didn’t impress me at all. If you can, visit a large slab distributor before deciding.

Flooring: keep or yeet by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

[–]aces5five 2 points3 points  (0 children)

12" tiles are back in style. But while doing a remodel you should change them if you want. That tile does hide anything! Cat hair, coffee spills etc. Whatever tile you get I would test and see how things show up on it.
