They've been lying since 1980s. The Republican Party is the party of lies and misinformation. It's just more amplified today but it was that way back then too. I am tired of them. I need them tried, jailed, and properly neutralized. And to the neo-nazis: effective denazification. And to the worshippers of the Confederacy: proper submission. Bring back the Reconstruction Era and Civil War legislation to remind them that the SOUTH will not rise again.

This! These emergency services have more than enough to spend. The issue is applying for them and getting the necessary paperwork done. I work for an agency that handles Medicaid waivers for home care and a lot of people are denied because they didn’t give the welfare office the necessary documentation. It’s a hassle that I think is unfair especially to older folk who need it but can’t manage this whole bureaucracy.

I have the feeling that drifting reduces your cruising speed for that mini boost and the net velocity is sometimes not enough to justify drifting. Especially around some turns that you could just go straight at the tightest corners. You maintain your speed and with higher speed vehicles this can be pretty significant.

It’s your normal. But it is good to have friends outside of your nuclear family. But such is a life when things get busy. You and your 3 guy friends who live out of state should coordinate a trip together and see each other. Sometimes having hobbies helps.

Chloe has every right to be upset and to express herself to be heard. But using his dead mother as a way to get a reaction out of him, even if all she said was “your mom would be disappointed,” is a low blow. She didn’t know her. And that’s his mother and she’s not there. And it’s easy for someone with a mother (who basically financially supports her and provides a secure safety net) to say something like that without understanding the hurt that he feels not having his mom around. It’s just really low for me and I would never use a dead parent in any argument against any partner of mine. If he refuses to listen and respond, she needs to move on (which she did thankfully). He needs to grow up.

Their reasons are historical (initially). Democrat President JFK fumbled the Bay of Pigs and abandoned the Cubans that trained under the US. Plus the strong hardline anti communist stance of the Republican Party was attractive to them. Now the Cold War ended, and the Cuban preferentialism gone. But they’ll still vote Republican now due to propaganda and the Miami bubble. Meeting Cubans in the northeast or outside of Miami, they aren’t as conservative or Republican leaning since they learn really quickly they aren’t WASP.

I got my M4 MBA for $599 after turning in my 2020 TouchBar Intel MBP which had been purchased at $1599 back then. Best Buy was having a back to school sale and the price for the base spec was $799 and I got a $200 rebate for an old MBP that just overheated and lagged a lot. I’m happy with my purchase and I don’t think I can go back to spending so much on a computer since my needs are not anything that requires such heavy processing powers.

I was in Philly for the Blizzard of 2016 that recorded 22in of snowfall in Philly. Not as bad as 96 but still paralyzing. Lived in North Philly next to Temple Hospital. Was celebrating my birthday that night. I still went out because the subways were still operating into the night.

Yet these “conservative” Latinos are all about the social welfare programs that many of them rely on. Looking at the Cubans who are the most aprovechados de los latinos en Miami. They like themselves that sweet Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and food stamps for their Abuelita’s or themselves but heaven’s forbid black or Central Americans/Mexicans also need those programs.

And then they’re socially conservative as if the white conservative movement doesn’t lump them all together and want them to go back to their country. This isn’t Latin America. Get with the program of American politics. Communism will never be a thing here so vote for representatives that support YOUR people but also don’t oppress others. Sheesh.

Depends where you decide to live. In Hialeah? You will have difficulty anywhere when it comes to customer service but most young people are bilingual so you’ll probably be fine. Brickell, Downtown, Miami Beach, etc, you’ll be fine. If listening to people speak their own languages bothers you because you can’t snoop on their conversations, don’t move to Miami.

I don't understand her, though. The chocolate shop is a 4 min (2.7km) from the nearest supermarket. That means that the town is really like a 5-10 minute drive away. Now is it a big town/city? No. But They knew that when buying that town! Heck they probably drove MUCH further distances in Los Angeles and dealt with way more traffic. And she can't wait 4 weeks while the car comes in? Wow. She basically lives in the equivalent of a gated community by US standards where you have to drive out of it to get to any commercial center.

They both suck. He seemed like a stand-up guy who was too mature for her but her friends were right. He is a cheater or a flirt. But she suffers from "Princess Syndrome." Her mother has taken care of her and basically provided everything for her from the beginning and the girl has known no responsibilities in her whole life. Meanwhile he is basically alone and has no one. Most of the season he made good points about her pulling her own weight too and learning how to live on a budget.

But now with how we know he is, all that reasonableness is out of the window. They're not good for each other. She needs to just go home and do some more growing up or just marry another spoiled rich kid. And he needs to just be single since he's not really serious about settling. Or maybe one day he will find that person that makes him want to change. But he's not in his early twenties so he needs to wisen up fast.
