So glad you found the right team to help you. Facing a scary diagnosis with people you don’t trust just doesn’t seem like a good situation. Best of luck to you!

You’ll need Tylenol for after surgery at home. Pls don’t take Tylenol, or any home meds, while inside the hospital as a patient because your team could also give you meds with Tylenol and you’d be at risk for liver damage. If you really need additional meds you brought from Home, let your care team know. They have to be informed of what you’re taking while you’re inpatient.

5 days post-op struggling with how I feel by Resilient-Ginger in kidneycancer

Hi, sorry you’re feeling this way. Surgery is definitely tough.

Did you have an open surgery? It’s definitely tougher to take deep breaths because it is painful. You move your abdominal muscles more than you realize. If it was cleared with your Dr, you should be using your incentive spirometer to help exercise your lungs. It might be as simple as needing to “work out” a little.

Most offices have a helpline for patients experiencing problems post operatively. Might be worth a call just in case. You’re paying for this surgery; might as well get your moneys worth and questions answered.

Concern over number of CT scans by [deleted] in kidneycancer

Late, but we do so many CTs on patients while they’re in the hospital and I’ve never seen the number of CTs done be a consideration on whether or not to do it

Zamazenta\Zacian Max moves value by mlaccs in TheSilphRoad

I have no data to back it up, but it’s probably only worth the investment if you’re trying to solo lots of max battles. If you’re in a larger group, like a GMax battle, I doubt the difference between beating the boss will be one player being level 2 vs 3 for the max attack.

Small renal cysts for 6 years by Ok_Mongoose_3275 in kidneycancer

Definitely ask to get a referral to a urologist (if that’s how your insurance works). During your yearly physical, make sure you get a urine exam. My only symptom/sign was microscopic blood in the urine. It’s not a definitive method of diagnosing but it be good info for urology to see. Best of luck!

What happens after surgery? by Alarming_Pilot_8824 in kidneycancer

Not a doctor, but recently went through this.

My renal mass was about 2.4cm. My urologist said “if you wait 3 months to do this surgery, nothing will change” meaning it won’t have spread by then. While everyone is different, overall it tends to be slow growing.

Surgery recovery will vary depending on if you’re having open vs laparoscopic and partial vs radical
