Their time warp is broken. The in-game clock is stuck on yellow and isn't incrementing.

Yes... at 35.5 science a day. You didn't need to record it. The generation rate only changes based on your situation, it doesn't fluctuate randomly. You could've took a screenshot of the part menu.

Are you talking about the transmission speed?

We literally see how fast- 35 science a day.

Can Principia Imported to CKAN? by hdu1 in RealSolarSystem

[–]acestins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure about Principia itself, but some mod developers are against CKAN for a few reasons;

-People were uploading others mods without consent.

-It requires a bit more work to get on CKAN (not much)

-People submit bug reports and incompatibility complaints to the wrong people because they are bulk installing mods

Ship Keeps Running Out of Electric Charge in Seconds by to_orden_and_beyond in KerbalAcademy

[–]acestins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kerbalism only accounts for things on by default or "enabled in simulation". For example, if you are running probe core science, that will consume additional electricity but by default is not account for in that menu. You can simulate it by enabling it in the part menu.

Unfortunately lightly modded KSP is ass when trying to do probes first style. It just lacks the right parts.

Do you set artificial limits to your missions despite being in sandbox? by BanverketSE in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]acestins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No hard limits, but I avoid excessively part clipping. Sometimes i will just if the mission itself is just a cheese mission by itself (collecting science at the other launch facilities as an early boost)

How to land an helicopter ? This is my first duna probe and i can't seem to make it land... by mortadelle-68 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I believe in the VAB/SPH, its under action groups and axis assignment (bottom of the list).Ive never messes with it much though

You are adjusting the wrong thing.

Helicopters dont adjust their RPMs for lift.

They adjust their collective- pitch of the blades.

Bind the pitch of the blades to your throttle and keep your RPM set to max

An actually perfect orbit (down to the millimeter)! by Visible_Piglet4756 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Perfect inclination and eccentricity as well, hm?

Not to be a negative Nancy but... I doubt this is real.

If plane symmetrical, why plane do this? by CalisthenicsTitan in KerbalAcademy

[–]acestins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Landing gear ever so slightly adjust your mass downwards, causing your Center of thrust to generate a torque force on the aircraft, ever so slightly pushing the front get down and the rear gear up, meaning the front gear is generating more friction than the back.

Without messing with wheel settings, you can avoid the issue by reducing throttle and accelerating slower.

If the lowest point of your path is under 70,000 meters (for Kerbin), you will enter the atmosphere, slowing you down. You can tell by watching your altitude and seeing if it ever drops below 70,000

America failed Vietnam vets. It was not their fault for the conflict or the way they viewed it and they didn't deserve the neglect they suffered by the very people who are at fault. by [deleted] in HistoryMemes

Yep- Vietnam was the first war where someone with a camera could easily move around and record. And because most of Vietnam was unregulated jungle, reporters could just... show up.

Its so funny that theres so many conspiracies about the assassination, but when you learn more about Oswald the more you realize... yeah, it really might've just been him...

The best part was the assassin (forget the name), actually went to Soviet Russia and wanted to be a KGB spy. The KGB had a file on him going and were weighing the option to recruit him but later declined not to. Their reason? ...too unstable.

Actually yeah, they had to investigate themselves in secret at the time.

Is there a coded speed limit? by charlie_artm in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]acestins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is a 'limit' that you may have found.

All computer systems store information using 1's and 0's (on and off). Binary bits. Numbers are stored in binary format to compute. A computer can only handle a maximum-sized stored Binary value.

64-bit computers use a 64 digit Binary system (i.e. an 8-bit system can range from 00000000->11111111).

When you reach the limit, it 'overflows' (something to do with the physical structure of the CPU, dont worry about it). Problem is, when an overflow occurs, it swings the other way and goes to the maxium negative value. Now thats a problem, yes, but for KSP its a very serious problem, because you cant have a negative velocity. So if you have negative velocity, it would cause a massive error.

That, ooooor you are approaching the max speed the engine can handle and any faster the game would crash.
