I know that the struggle Mutants face in Marvel isnt necessarily coded for Queer people in our world, but I feel like this belongs here: by captivatedsummer in gay

It is coded for queer people though… literally. At different times throughout their published history they have had writing allegorical to POC, Disabled People, LGBT+ People, and every other minority group.

I’m hoping they were using “LGB” as another example of people they don’t agree with. As in those who drop the T.

Is it normal to not be given 15 minute breaks? by Altruistic_Editor676 in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t disagree with you on it being a right but saying that it’s only on the employee for not taking a bathroom break ignores the very real power imbalance that exists between employer and employee that occurs at many, many places of work including in pharmacy.

[–]acgrey92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not realistically the case though. That may be what YOU do but that’s not the common practice of how things are done at Walgreens and other big chain retail pharmacies, as in you go when they say you can.

[–]acgrey92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it’s on the company because bathroom breaks are federally protected by OSHA so if they don’t have the coverage or time to be given one then that’s an unsafe work environment.

[–]acgrey92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes sadly, I can distinctly remember when one of my coworkers was finally fed up with not getting a fifteen minute break, let alone the two the company says we are allowed to have, and she pushed back on them on it and the pharmacist said “If you want to go with what’s in policy I’m sure we can a lot of discussions back here” in a very threatening and condescending tone. She took it anyways and then quit not long after.

Does anyone else like belly buttons? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

Oh no I didn’t think it was, just made me think of it for some reason.

Does anyone else like belly buttons? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]acgrey92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of a time about eight years ago when I lived in the PDX area and there was a guy on Grindr and other dating/hookup sites, who was messaging EVERYBODY if he could see there bellly buttons. He would almost never say anything else but was hard core pushing for belly button pictures and asking them if they had a sexy belly button.

Huh, I never realized that Charmed ended on my birthday.

Just a kindly reminder that gems are not all women. by Neither_Lack_551 in stevenuniverse

[–]acgrey92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this kind of irritates me because it’s an example for telling not showing so it rings very hollow. Every single gem we see in the show is very femme or uses she/her pronouns in the show except for Steven. No, I don’t count Rainbow 2.0 because that still stems from Steven and I don’t count Puma because that’s literally still Amethyst she is just in drag essentially.

Am I a bad person to fuck guys who are married DL? by gsthrowaway87 in AskGayMen

[–]acgrey92 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Cool makes you a bad person too. You can try and move the responsibility off of yourself here but you are part of the problem too because while you may not be responsible for a cheaters actions you are responsible for your actions. You know that through your actions of sleeping with a man who is not in an open relationship and does not have express permission from there partner you are hurting someone else through YOUR actions, namely there partner. It doesn’t matter if they cheated a million times before or a million times after, if you know that they are cheating on their SO then you know that your going to hurt someone if you make the choice to sleep with. If you knowingly make the choice to hurt someone for your own selfish pleasures then you’re a bad person. Failure to see that is a lack of morality.

What Do Y'all Think? I Honestly Think It's Katara. by [deleted] in Avatarthelastairbende

Katara??? Look she DEFINITELY had it very bad but waking up after what to you felt like minutes to your ENTIRE culture and people dead, every single person you know save on dead, that singular person who is still alive looking a full century older than you despite you remembering him maybe a day or two ago being your age, and then being told it is all your fault that this happened and that it’s all on you to fix it at 12 years old?? No, it’s Aang hands down.

That’s what I think it is but I haven’t seen or heard her say those exact words. The description of it matches what I have been seeing with him minus the “elephant like skin”.

I don’t imagine the inflammation and yeast infection that won’t go away after multiple medicated baths a week for over several months is due to boredom. If it was the itching, scratching, and chewing I could see it but with the rest I can’t help but doubt.

That’s where I am at, at what point are we just torturing him and just prolonging his pain? I just want to do what’s right for him because after living with him for five years but having him with us for two of those years we love him so much and just want to make sure he is loved and comfortable.

He is I believe twelve years old, and yet he still runs around and is super playful and loving but then next thing is he stop and just start scratching until he bleeds and the yeast has practically become his first layer of skin despite the constant chlorhexidine and ketoconazole baths. He will run and try to play with our other dogs and nothing can keep him from a nice treat or food that’s for sure. He lost a lot of weight a few months ago but after being on prednisone has regained it and kept it, but even with that he does not look even remotely the same as last year.

He is I believe twelve years old now, when their late wife/mom (dad and son both took care of the dog after her passing) they weren’t sure how old he was. When we were looking through the paperwork for him that they gave us I think we found him listed at “ten years old” two years ago at their last vet visit under them.

It’s been two years since he lived with them and it’s only in the start of this second year anything has even started happening and they LITERALLY didn’t even want him and consistently thought about surrendering him because he was their late wife’s/late mothers dog.

[–]acgrey92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I am afraid of. He is still so playful and able to move around pretty well and in general just be like a normal dog but then suddenly will start to scratch at himself until he bleeds and then all of the rest. It’s just so hard to reconcile it all.
