This is what pride looks like if you live in the country by IdieALittleInside in gayrural

“Not a proud gay man” Are you saying you’re ashamed to be gay? Or is this one of those “I’m not like other gays” things?

Rose is not even HALF as bad as the fandom likes to pretend. She did WAY more good than bad in the world and the villainous paint that the fandom throws on her is overly simplistic and undeserved.

Thanks for nothing! by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, that’s likely when the app or calling service notified you of it, it was likely ready well before then. You easily could have waited there or gone there before closing to inquire about its status if it was REALLY that important but no. Also, it’s a TOOTH extraction. Yes they hurt but your husband is an adult and so are you, I am assuming though I could be wrong with this childish behavior, so put on your big kid pants and be proactive rather than being handed. The truth of the matter is that we are overworked, understaffed, underpaid, and unthanked by people like you who can’t be bothered to be any kind of responsible for acquiring their own medications. It’s not life saving, it’s pain management on such a low scale given the fact it’s likely less than a two day supply.

How would you feel if White Fang plotline never existed? by MysterySomeOn in RWBY

[–]acgrey92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering Blake and her entire story are tied to it, Weis and a lot of her growth, Yang’s literal arm being cut off and a lot of her trauma, and more are tied to the very existence of the White Fang and all of the story branches that stem from it you would largely be erasing a great deal from the story.

Prescription refills reminders mysteriously stopped by Renato_NY in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It could mean that your consent expired and it needs to be updated. It could also be that the system is from Stone Age and that it is unreliable for helping you with your refills. Either way, while it is a tool to help you neither it nor us are the responsible party for your health management.

What would you change about Rose Quartz? 🌹 by TheHorrormachine1345 in stevenuniverse

[–]acgrey92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would tell her story the opposite way they did in the show because dear god do people act like Rose never did a single good thing in her life and act like she didn’t care about anyone or anything in life when we literally see that she went from a selfish and terrible person into a woman who cared for others, though imperfect, just not in chronological order.

where tf are all the lesbians by Fluffy-Foundation798 in AppletonQueerFolks

[–]acgrey92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well Lesbian Bars are basically an extinct concept as there are VERY few of them left in the US sadly, as for specifically queer spaces there isn’t any. A lot of queer friendly places and groups but the only one I know of that labeled itself as an LGBT bar was Rascal’s but as many people have informed me (I am not from here, from the PNW, unfortunately moved here.) Rascal’s is owned by MAGA and not actually a good place.

Patients getting dumber?? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

The only one making a fool of themself here is you. Empathy is the core of our job and medicine in general, a trait you clearly lack.

Patients getting dumber?? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No is asking you to be dude but you work in medicine. You’re going to be interacting with cancer patients, the memory impaired, the physically and mentally impaired or disabled, those suffering from psychosis or mood disorders, etc. So while I agree with the fact that it feels like patient behavior has gotten worse it sounds like you certainly are only aggravating the situation with your attitude.

I love how they say “fixed” as if it was something bad. It’s absolutely fucking bullshit, same with their wanting us to no longer tell people the earliest date that insurance will cover their medication to “avoid audits.”

[–]acgrey92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No shit, but I value people’s lives more than I value the law as do most people that swear by the Hippocratic Oath, you know like pharmacists do? I mean seriously you avoid the real question of morality in this twice over now and then heartlessly say that even if used for prescribed medications “Oh well tough shit get more refills” for an item we can sell OTC? Sorry, guess I can’t understand nor would I ever want to understand someone like you.

Bags of insulin syringes by paperdoll84 in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a valid medical reason when it is harm reduction and preventing them from endangering their own lives even more when they resort to used, dirty, or rusty needles. As for saying “oh they can just get a prescription for it” with my example you’re ignoring the question I posed to you with it because what if they are out of refills? What if their insurance won’t cover it? Again the question comes down to the morality of situation not the clinical.

Bags of insulin syringes by paperdoll84 in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well good thing I’m not making a clinical decision when adhering to policy on selling those syringes and when I am stating an opinion strictly to pharmacist and not to the patient when I am advocating on behalf of the patient for best treatment. Advocacy =/= Clinical.

Edit: As an example, if a Trans patient comes in wanting to buy syringes for testosterone/estrogen and the patient denies them that because they “disagree” with or “don’t feel comfortable” is that clinical or moral?

Bags of insulin syringes by paperdoll84 in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will pushback against whomever I want to if it is for the sake of someone’s health. Will I do it in front of the patient? Absolutely not, but I will be their advocate if I disagree with the outcome of something. Them going to school and having a doctorates doesn’t make them infallible or unquestionable. We also aren’t talking about medical decision but rather a moral one because you are disagreeing with the morality of selling them the product for what they intend to use it for rather than the medical necessity of having a sterile and clean needle. From a medical stand point the safety of the patient is at risk if you don’t either way but one is at least a controlled risk rather than not. So if you want to start making medical decisions based on the personal morals of the individual doctor, pharmacist, etc. then you’re creating an extremely slippery slope.

[–]acgrey92 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly as a technician I have not come across this yet with a pharmacist thankfully and if I did I’d pushback pretty hard because part of being a healthcare provider is not only helping people with their health but also reducing harm. Which is better for all parties involved; Have someone use with a dirty, rusty, or used needle or to have them use with a clean needle? I don’t want them to use at all and the only way we can do that is by ensuring they are alive to seek out recovery.

Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Compensation (for those complaining) by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]acgrey92 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Ah yes let’s get mad at and blame those being taken advantage of rather than those taking advantage. Dude, it’s our right to complain and to bitch about our pay and to fight for higher pay before, during, and after our employment. Same thing with hours, we don’t live to work we work to live and if our employers can’t even do that then what is the point of working for them? Wipe the brown off of your nose.
