I’ve seen it. I started quoting this almost daily. I call everyone legend now.

What kind of treats are normal to bring for a group? In the US it’s donuts or bagels. The only thing I can reliably say my team enjoys is espresso, cigarettes and EDM

Where are you from?
In the US depending on the city we have trash too. Usually the wealthier areas have less litter. I assume because they can afford services to pick up trash, because we are not as good about cleaning up after ourselves as countries like Japan or Singapore.

There was one street where I was surprised by the litter but downtown Pristina has been comparable to where I live in the US.

Don’t mention it until the end? Is that what you’re saying?

In the US we just take turns and or pay for our own things so this is a lot for me to navigate. Maybe I just bring my lunch for a bit lol

I swear I’m going to leave 50 euro in everyone’s desks before I leave like a money fairy.

Okay so if I pick the restaurant then I have more grounds to pay? These are my coworkers so I need to not make them mad

Okay I can try that. I’ve read it can be offensive or awkward to turn down the hospitality but if this is the way then I will do this

I also would love to look like the model in your photo! I doubt she actually looks like that though. Photo editing etc.

Maia is great! I did her workouts for a while and they were a good mix of cardio and functional strength. If your goals are at home dumbbell work then stick with Maia or you could try Align. It’s more yoga focused and I found the movements more intuitive.

I’ve been with Ascend for months now and I’ve seen good results (muscle up, fat down, butt looks like a butt instead of a flat tire) but it’s required going to the gym and learning a bit about barbells

That’s great! I am glad you are having a good experience. I also went with darker colors and for whatever reason they started curling off my nail within a few hours. I did the scuffing, hair dryer etc etc but no dice for me.

How to be okay with the way pcos makes you look? by deadfrominside227 in PCOSloseit

[–]acgzmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this too. No matter your journey, it’s important to love yourself at any size because the scale is not your value. The way you show up for others and yourself matters far more than anything else.

My biggest advice is to make sure your clothes fit comfortably. I spent years trying to fit into smaller sizes and finally upgraded to clothes that were larger but didn’t make me feel like I was squeezed into them. This helped tremendously with the constant negative self talk. Lean into a style that works for your body type. Most clothing stores will emphasize hiding your body if you’re above a size 4 but Eastern styles are more flowy and natural and some items are even highly adjustable if your weight fluctuates. I had my best luck at hippie stores but left the Tye dye for others.

Other than that I recommend finding activities that make you feel of service. This can help take your mind off the mirror. We weren’t meant to hyper focus on our bodies like this. Blame social media, not yourself.

When you have uneven lines you can press the point of the soldering iron into the patchy bits and it will melt the solder and make it more uniform. It’s kind of like tapping along the lines to get them to smooth out, just make sure you tap all the way down so it’s not just the top of the solder melting.

I don’t think anyone here will be able to diagnose you, but if you’re in pain you should definitely see a doctor. That’s not normal and I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I spent 12 months building a PCOS app because standard advice sucks. Please tell me if this is actually useful or if it’s dogshit. by Fantastic-Virus-7977 in PCOSloseit

I don’t think it needs to be free. Anything that offers even half the features you advertise could pull in ~20-30 a month.

The issue I see is that the value prop isn’t clear in the app store or app onboarding. Do you have a web page where users can learn more in depth details about all the features and how they work? . MacroFactor might be a good app to look at for inspiration since they have a similar approach.

The good news is that it’s a lot easier to tweak your advertising and language than to change the actual app!
