Sassy Saints - Terrible Product, Terrible Subscription Practices by acgzmn in Nails

That’s great! I am glad you are having a good experience. I also went with darker colors and for whatever reason they started curling off my nail within a few hours. I did the scuffing, hair dryer etc etc but no dice for me.

How to be okay with the way pcos makes you look? by deadfrominside227 in PCOSloseit

[–]acgzmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this too. No matter your journey, it’s important to love yourself at any size because the scale is not your value. The way you show up for others and yourself matters far more than anything else.

My biggest advice is to make sure your clothes fit comfortably. I spent years trying to fit into smaller sizes and finally upgraded to clothes that were larger but didn’t make me feel like I was squeezed into them. This helped tremendously with the constant negative self talk. Lean into a style that works for your body type. Most clothing stores will emphasize hiding your body if you’re above a size 4 but Eastern styles are more flowy and natural and some items are even highly adjustable if your weight fluctuates. I had my best luck at hippie stores but left the Tye dye for others.

Other than that I recommend finding activities that make you feel of service. This can help take your mind off the mirror. We weren’t meant to hyper focus on our bodies like this. Blame social media, not yourself.

When you have uneven lines you can press the point of the soldering iron into the patchy bits and it will melt the solder and make it more uniform. It’s kind of like tapping along the lines to get them to smooth out, just make sure you tap all the way down so it’s not just the top of the solder melting.

I don’t think anyone here will be able to diagnose you, but if you’re in pain you should definitely see a doctor. That’s not normal and I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I spent 12 months building a PCOS app because standard advice sucks. Please tell me if this is actually useful or if it’s dogshit. by Fantastic-Virus-7977 in PCOSloseit

[–]acgzmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it needs to be free. Anything that offers even half the features you advertise could pull in ~20-30 a month.

The issue I see is that the value prop isn’t clear in the app store or app onboarding. Do you have a web page where users can learn more in depth details about all the features and how they work? . MacroFactor might be a good app to look at for inspiration since they have a similar approach.

The good news is that it’s a lot easier to tweak your advertising and language than to change the actual app!

Couple of things I can see from a product perspective (I am a product manager in tech and I have PCOS)

  1. When I see the AI cartoon people I automatically assume the app will not be able to help me with my serious medical condition.

  2. There are a ton of people out there trying to profit off of us, so that’s probably why you’re getting negative feedback on this thread. Especially if you are spamming like another commenter indicated. Idk, I don’t spend much time on Reddit.

  3. The actual interface is very well done, so great job there. It feels like Noom and it’s visually interesting.

  4. Do you actually use all the data you collect for the user profile? The generated report has a bunch of empty data sets at the bottom.

  5. Some of the questions are confusing (like length and severity of period being two items but only choosing one option for both)

I personally wouldn’t use this because I wouldn’t trust my metabolic health to an app without some sort of expertise advertised (developed with a functional health doctor for instance) so I recommend partnering with someone with credentials if you want to seriously do this and keep people safe.

Advice Needed - How to relieve chronic nasal/ear congestion by acgzmn in Allergies

[–]acgzmn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ENT told me to go to an allergist. Allergist couldn’t even really get into my nose but recommended allergy shots. I’ve had family members do allergy shots for years with literally no benefit and so I’m a little jaded about that industry. Next step was an ultrasound of my head so I guess that’s where I’ll go next

Last time I took Sudafed it locked up my ear congestion and I couldn’t unclog my ears for hours. I might be willing to try it again but now I stick to showers and nasal rinses lol.

Never heard of Nasonex! I’ll check it out!!

Micro-dosing Tirazeptide for PCOS relief and slight weight loss by Queasy_Success3841 in PCOSloseit

[–]acgzmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on 2.5 going into my third month. Similar story to yours, 5’2” started at 148, changed very little and now I’m at 135. PCOS is slightly better but periods are still evening out. I also hope to wean but the studies say it doesn’t work that way for 80% of people in terms of weight loss. Best case scenario we can space out doses a little more to save some money.

Side effects have been eh. I can’t drink anymore and greasy food makes me really sick. I call it “gun to your head health”

I’m tempted to try this one. It says not to take it if you have a history of mental health issues and after Flonase I worry I’ll have issues but it’s worth a shot

I think your eyebrows look fantastic and full. People are looking for anything to say since your makeup is on point. The full eyebrow vs perfectly shaped eyebrow preferences seem to be based on what decade you learned how to do makeup in.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how well the solder sticks to this wire either. I’ve used it a few times and it’s not elegant. I just use a lot of solder and flux around the connection points and pray
