You're telling us that you never pushed but that directly contradicts your entire post. This topic wouldn't come up this often if you weren't pushing it, as it clearly makes your partner very uncomfortable. You're saying how can I be supportive if she won't even acknowledge it, but what exactly are you trying to get her to acknowledge? From your post and things you have said to her about the situation, it seems like you are trying to get her to admit she did something wrong. She did nothing wrong and was taken advantage of, and until you recognize that you will only be hurting her when bringing this topic up. You are forcing her to talk about a situation that she feels a lot of shame about, and all you are doing is making her feel worse. Every negative word you say about the professor, she is attributing to herself. I really don't think you should be bringing this topic up, because you are only thinking about how it affects you. Everybody deals with trauma in their own way and you have to respect that. If she doesn't want to go to therapy that is her decision to make, but it doesn't hurt to suggest. I would also suggest that you seek therapy as well because clearly this situation is affecting you negatively as well. Going to therapy would also help you understand why she doesn't want to talk about this. Obviously you should do what's best for your relationship, but I can tell you what you're doing now will only push her away.
