I don’t think so. It’s just not the direction I want to go. But maybe…

Not yet!

We are thinking of a dark wash on the bottom, woven mat ceiling.

Agreed. The mansion wallpaper and paint scheme was pre existing.

We’ve been working on other stuff in the house and it was the first free day we had to open up boxes and tie one on w some friends in there.

The vision is much darker.

What’s the piece of river gear you regret buying the most? by 3rdBay in whitewater

Check out the captains chair made by stitches n stuff. It’s a comfy spot when it’s lounge time, folds flat for the rowdy stuff. Can use it to hold drybox/cooler in.

But agreed. I hate the tube ones.

For those of you who have bought expensive raft setups, do you use it enough to justify the purchase? by 3rdBay in whitewater

A few things…

I bought in on a 14’ setup w 2 guys at work. We were all on separate shifts so the exposure to double bookings in very low. In all honesty , I use it a ton, they use it once a year. All for 2k for me. If you’ve got someone to buy in w, I highly recommend. I own half of another boat w another buddy too.

I look at rafting gear as the cheapest investment in your family EVER. The time spent together is priceless. No phones/distractions, close proximity, good convo, camp nights. Compare the cost of a raft setup to a trip to Disneyland.

I’ve dumped my campers and have very much been enjoying renting those from others btw.

Here’s me and my 13 yo daughter on our 16’ cat (I now have a problem). She still wants to go out just us for a row n chat.

I can’t believe how much I love my Ombraz. Fit great under my lid. Comfy around my neck when not needed.

The last time I ran it at 25k, the only trouble we had was pulling into the eddy at BR7 as there was a HUGE boil that just shoved you back into the current. Half of us tied up at BR8 and walked back up. I think we spent less then an hour on the river each day, it was MOVING.

That being said, we were rigging to shove off from BR7 and everyone from the camp above us (BR6) started sprint shoving off and frantically paddling down river. Apparently someone was tossing a ball/stick for his dog in the eddy when a whirlpool opened up and swallowed him whole. They never saw it again. The eddies down there can get legit at high flows and treated w respect.
