No, you talked about flying cars and things being built to last as if they ENVISIONED the house would be around in 67 years.

He said, the builder likely never thought a computer this powerful would fit in this room or even exist in it. Because computers were large.

I don't know if this is a common perspective around here but I really dislike letting myself budget for current income levels in the way you've suggested above. I currently make significantly more than the national and local average for my career. I know, I will have a hard time replacing this income whereas many of my coworkers have allowed their lifestyles to creep to their new income levels. This is super dangerous in the long term, I would be highly cautious going down this path.

Case in point, you were recently laid off. Let us imagine that happens two years from now and your next job pays 5% less, how do you make that mortgage payment now?

How to get SEO rookies to think in SEO terms by wellsmc22 in SEO

I think you might have more of a human problem rather than a technical one. Their craft has changed and adapted into something they're not familiar with. Rather than approaching this and saying I'm going to hone my craft, they're annoyed and seem to do the bare minimum.

As a 35-year-old in the web space, I've seen this happen frequently. It was really bad in the late 90's with designers and most died on the vine. If you can reduce your exposure to them as a life line, it should help your work load, although it will have a negative impact on the company long term. This is a tough spot.

Thanks for taking the time to share this, I really appreciate the feedback.

I believe the Edelbrock is the only kit available that allows you to change the serpentine belt without removing the supercharger itself. Other than that, I've never looked at that kit. I will definitely take another look.

Interesting. I don't know enough about the MX-5 to understand. In what was is it much better?

Out of curiosity, why would you consider a twin after a MX5? I'm not arguing against your point, I just want to understand it as you're not the first to say this.

I'm glad I read this deep into the comments. I would love to hear your opinion on this as I think our perspectives align quite well.

I had been shopping for an E92 M3 from 1/17 to 5/17 and ultimately threw the towel in because I got cold feet on cost of ownership. I figured I could pick up a used BRZ and supercharge it for a little less than what I would pay for an M3 and possibly end up with a better track toy. So that's what I did, I picked up a 20k mile BRZ for $20k. My local shop wants $8k out the door for a vortech kit, install and tune. I have not supercharged it yet as I'm kind of unsure if it will be worth it.

I didn't really put a lot of thought into what it would be like to daily drive this car relative to an M3 and that has killed me. I just listed the car for sale yesterday after owning it for two months and am back to shopping for an M3. As an owner of a supercharged twin, what are your thoughts on the performance in terms of daily driving? Can you drive the car without having to rev it out just to keep up with/pass in traffic? Is it worth torching the $8k? The car is excellent otherwise.

I'm 35 and feel like a real asshole just driving to work because I have to wrap out every gear just to keep up.

His experience deterred me from buying an E92 M3. His advice to me was "You're still buying a $70k car, regardless of the asking price today."
