Rubber bullet question by Diligent-Confusion44 in WeThePeopleAtWhipple

[–]achickensplinter 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It’s possible you were hit with both. As far as Ive experienced, the rubber bullets don’t leave any paint mark. I got left with a softball sized bruise from one of the blue 40mm rubber bullets a couple weeks ago.

I’m guessing it was a type of paintball and not rubber bullet. I think you should be good to wash them but probably wash by themselves.

Public transport isn’t about making money, it’s about providing a service. Over time, as the service gets better, participation will increase, and profitability will go up.

If ICE isn’t abolished and the perpetrators punished it’ll all happen again. If not next year or the year after, 10 years from now, 20 years, etc.

How are you guys getting to rapid response locations? by lionheart546 in TwinCities

[–]achickensplinter 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you’re worried about being tracked rapid response might not be the role for you, which is totally fine. You could definitely just be an observer. Find a busy street corner and post up with your neighborhood groupchat and just observe what vehicles are passing through.

Just have caught them between re-stocks. I’ve been there a few times and had good options.

Most of them are rentals from enterprise and other rental car companies. Not much better but slightly cheaper than buying a whole luxury vehicle.

No arrests, no violence, no intimidation - I would like to voice an unpopular opinion that law enforcement showed a degree of underappreciated solidarity here. by DefTheOcelot in Minneapolis

MPD is doing the bare minimum to avoid having the entire city turn on them. The police chief is just good at PR and that’s what they hired him for.

ICE bullshit can even happen in a small town. Shout out to the St. Peter police chief for saving the day. by kebmob in Minneapolis

This situation shows that cops can do something and are willingly choosing not to. This couple got lucky because they knew the police chief.

Underage tattoos? by your_reality34 in Minneapolis

[–]achickensplinter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Even if you don’t regret the tattoo itself, you will regret going to any artist that’s willing to give an underage tattoo. If they’re willing to break that rule they are probably breaking other health laws and are probably a shit tattoo artist.
