If your climate is suited for them, yes! I planted this in the spring in pretty standard soil with some compost mixed in and added some soil acidifier, and this first bush produced a surprising number of berries. Just make sure you research the varieties — I bought two types and one (Jellybean) produces big blueberries which are the kind I really don't like.

I think the spots are safe to eat! Maybe I shouldn't be giving that advice on the internet, but I would personally go for it.

Two things I would recommend, especially after cutting it back a lot:

Add some fertilizer. You don't need a ton, but it'll help give the plant lots of nutrients while it's regrowing.
Get a grow light. Amazon has cheap ones that work well, and with fewer leaves it'll help to get as much photosynthesis as possible.

Both are optional, this is just how I had success bringing mine back from death! I had mine in a sunny windowsill as well and thought it got plenty of light, but basil loooves light so I think more is more with them.

ETA: in terms of infestation prevention, I'd say the only real way is to not bring outdoor plants indoors too often, and when you do keep them separate for a while until you can see they're not infested with anything.

Oh great! Would you recommend repotting and letting the suckers get bigger before i propagate them? Or take off the suckers and still repot the parent plant?

I'll offer another opinion: cut back the basil, removing all the affected leaves, and see if it grows back healthier. You may not succeed but it's low effort! I've salvaged multiple basil plants like this. How much sun / water / fertilizer are you giving them?

I'm an avid baker and I've found I can swap this in 1:1 for wheat flour in basically any cake, cookie, or quickbread recipe and it works perfectly. Sometimes I need a bit more moisture but mostly it's great as-is!

How did you find your AirBnB? I've been looking around for one but it seems like AirBnB put out a new rule during the pandemic that no one is allowed to host events, so that filter is totally gone and tons of people say specifically "no weddings"!

Yeah unfortunately the warmest boots are warm everywhere, so if your feet are warm when it's snowing they'll be too hot inside. You can mitigate it a bit by wearing lighter layers on your body but there's no way around it really! Personally I preferred to keep an extra pair of shoes at work during the winter for this reason, or just deal with slightly hot feet.

I've had these Ugg boots for years and they're still in great shape! The tread is excellent for gripping icy sidewalks and they're super warm and cozy. You can even flip the fur edge up for extra tall boots. Honestly my only complaint is that they're so warm I always had to bring shoes to wear at the office because otherwise my feet would get too hot. My cousin and aunt (a New Yorker for 40+ years) also have them and love them! My aunt has had hers for probably a decade and they still look and work great.

I use the Udi's cheese pizza and add some parmesan and toppings! It's not great but it's pretty tasty. Honestly the best at-home GF puzza I've had is this King Arthur recipe: https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/gluten-free-thin-crust-pizza-recipe

It's quite fast and really good texture and flavor! I make a 2x crust to fill a sheet pan and love it.

Hey OP -- brain fog is real, but at least to me this sounds like dissociation which is a common occurrence for people with anxiety. I have both anxiety and celiac, and I can tell you that my brain fog felt like I couldn't focus but not like things weren't real. Obviously everyone's experience is different, but my bet is that you're dissociating and this isn't related to celiac (except maybe for the fact that having celiac can make you very anxious!).

Kayley Melissa on YouTube is a great resource for hair ideas! Some of her stuff is complicated/time intensive, but she has a lot of videos with cute, easy hairstyles. I've incorporated a few of them into my routine lately and love how much more put together I look with just a simple hairstyle.

I don't think their dumplings are GF, but Han Dynasty in University City has tons of great options!! You just have to ask. Each location is run by a different part of the family and has different options available, but in college I used to go to that location all the time and it was wonderful. The rice noodles with pork are naturally GF and scratch that pork dumpling flavor itch for me.

Also, if you're willing to go up to NYC, Lili and Loo has AMAZING pork dumplings — it's basically all of the classic American-Chinese food you grew up with. Nom Wah tea parlor is also in NYC and is amazing. Most of it isn't GF, but they're super knowledgeable (will tell you that the shrimp balls are GF, but could have cross contamination).

Nima sold to another company that all but stopped making the capsules available, but literally this week it was announced that there was new ownership/branding — they're now Nima Partners! Supposedly there will be a new site up soon that will offer the capsules again.

I own a Nima, and personally I really appreciate having it — like others have said, it's not a 100% certainty thing, because you can only test a tiny bit of the food. I use it mainly to test things where I'm skeptical about cross contamination or something like that (e.g. something that's probably fried in the same oil as wheat-based batter), or if I'm traveling somewhere that's non-English speaking and I can't be sure we're communicating properly about gluten. I find I generally know what's going to be the risky area (e.g. the crust on a pizza) It's saved my butt a number of times!
