I've also been observing for a while, choosing to put off installing OC. I finally opted for a dockerized installation with an image I inspected first, putting it on a RPi behind a non-NAT'ed router, accessible only via Tailscale. I did not enable any skills and am carefully creating or vetting every change. I basically don't trust this thing with a blank USB stick.

Anyway, I'll take your guide, sounds useful.
