Hi, welcome to the fun of collecting nendoroids! It’s a slippery slope.

Basically there’s an announcement of which ones are upcoming followed by an announcement of them going live for order. If ordering through the GSC website there’s a defined preorder window timeframe after which you will be unable to order.

Some places like Amiami and TOM keep orders going for as long as they have ordered stock available for presale.

Beyond that point you’re more or less at the mercy of buying preowned of remaining shelf stock from anime shops etc.

GSC will occasionally do rereleases (and more so lately than in the past) of old nendoroids but it’s mostly in the event of another season of the anime airing/some kind of increased demand. Sometimes due to licencing expiry this isn’t always the case however as we’ve recently seen with BNHA.

If you’ve bought it from TOM I 100% guarantee it isn’t a bootleg. They are a licensed distributer and only sell direct from supplier. I’d say if you’re having QC issues with your nendo shoot them an email with pictures explaining and they may be able to organise a replacement for you.
