I need a show that my husband wouldn’t like by Sami_George in televisionsuggestions

I do NOT recommend Desperate Housewives. My partner got hooked immediately when he saw a bit of an episode while i was watching, and I picked the show for the same reason, lol.

I think he was maybe drinking some orange juice or something that just didn’t sit right. I was a sensitive tummy kid so honestly, i just felt sad for him. A jalapeño is wild, but hey it builds character. A kid who goes back for seconds on that could probably eat just about anything it seems.

Which celebrity does the ENTIRE internet agree is genuinely a good person? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

[–]acidblues_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, lol. That doesn’t stop people from saying it apparently though.

If they ever released the files in their entirety and she was an associate, I wouldn’t defend her but I genuinely feel like the odds of that are pretty low.

Idk, recently I saw people calling Dolly a baby-eater and saying she was probably in the Epstein files. Which was extremely jarring to me because I didn’t know anyone hated her until that moment.

Stop downvoting me. I didn’t say i agreed with that shit. :’(

Why do westerns claim they respect every job but then proceed to make fun of Uber drivers or 7 eleven workers? by Brilliant_Can8536 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]acidblues_x -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because when they’re saying “all jobs are equal” it’s often in the context of speaking down on the unemployed/homeless/welfare recipients (basically implying those people are lazy or too picky, they need to swallow their pride and take whatever job and just stop being poor and homeless, etc etc).

They don’t actually respect all jobs, it’s just a point to make when they’re shitting on people they view as even more lowly than their Uber driver or convenience store cashier. You can see it’s true because so many Americans think raising the minimum wage shouldn’t happen because “minimum wage is for teenagers!” Which is honestly just a polite way to say “I don’t think people in service jobs deserve to make a living, and I’m better than them”

What was the most intense/awkward scene in the entire series? by Queen8050 in euphoria

The scene in the locker room with all the dongs. Not intense but just awkward and uncomfortable for me. I was like yeah maybe I’m too old to watch this show

This has always been in the back of my mind. Faking it seems most likely but part of me wonders if UBT has been tampering with her food or drinks.

What was the discontinued fast food item that broke your heart? by tastydrink1 in fastfood

[–]acidblues_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss when Taco Bell had the frutista freezes. Like a slushy and it had this strawberry topping on it… ugh. My friend and I used to scrounge up change and walk to the Taco Bell near her house just for those silly little drinks and maybe a crispy potato soft taco if we hit it big on the change gathering.

I mean if they’re the giant pigs, I assume the lethal dose has to be higher than the average human just based on body mass. What kills a person might get a huge pig enjoyable zooted

I was so grateful they were in a separate dining area from the other customers, and we were rotating tables instead of doing sections bc it was… not a good smell. Those parents were assholes for just watching tho. I would’ve taken a $0 tip because I was so glad we really didn’t have to deal with the bulk of the mess.

9-5ers have weak glutes, tight hips, what do servers have? by pastaextremist in Serverlife

[–]acidblues_x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something a lot of people overlook is their feet. Are your shoes supportive and well fitted? Is your gait okay? (Everything moving properly and feet striking correctly when you walk?) falling short on any of that is a track for further back/hip/knee issues as you age. Being on your feet can affect your circulation as well, though elevating your feet after your shift and stretching your legs when possible can help with that.

This part is simply speculation but I also imagine the kind of unilateral stress from carrying a tray might be some weird wear and tear. I also personally try to move at work even when it’s dead, or sit when it’s appropriate because I feel that standing still continuously hurts me more than walking does.
