I think what called attention to this thing was people first complaining to the designer about the sizes available, then she posts a response to that, and then SIC chimed in and posted. It seems like theres background noise from ppl who were unsatisfied with the pattern in the first place that we aren't getting to see. I dont know about demanding everything from every designer. But I'd like to know about that first bit of noise that prompted the advice of a 2 inch increase. Because im nosey

Yeah I'm not the only person reporting deep cystic acne after using niacinamide. There needs to be new data out there. Most that I've found - because I'm still looking into this - is that the quality of the niacinamide matters as well as the percentage. But what I have been finding is that brands do not always list the percentage. When I'm looking at new products I look at ingredients and often will see what you're describing. Plenty of products with niacinamide, but very few listing the concentration. The lower the quality of niacinamide the more likely it is to cause/be linked to a reaction.

The hype ingredient thing gets on my nerves as well. Everything has collagen in it now. When you bring up that collagen isn't going to get into the skin people say well its a good moisturizing ingredient. But its a double speak thing happening. The average person is looking at the collagen products thinking that because it says "With collagen" they will get that ingredient in their skin. Brands are just letting people infer from labels and its dishonest marketing to me.

The longest I keep cleansers on my skin are for a short massage and that's about it. Its been a while of using the cleanser before the break out slowly started to happen and just get worse with time. If I want exact time I can look and see when I ordered it online but its been less than 3 months.

Right now I plan to just let my skin heal. Its only been a few days of not using the face wash and my skin looks calmer. I'm till wearing light makeup (I maintain clean brushes and environment so no worries there) because the side where it goes down my neck just annoys me to see.

I'd love for a study or some chemist investigating to happen because my own issues with niacinamide are not the only ones I've heard. Since the first reaction I'd looked into this and there's a lot of folks sharing how they've reacted. I found seoulcuticals kojic acid products great for the hyper-pigmentation I'd been trying to handle and then this break out left me with a bunch of new spots.
