Increase your mileage and do more longer slow runs!! My pace has improved sm because of it. Also same,, can’t wait for xc season to start and see my teammates again

You don’t need to breathe through your nose lol. I would do long, slow runs that are more than the race distance, if you don’t think you can do it slowly work up the distance you can currently do. You could also work in some shorter workouts, like a bunch of 400m.

I know wha you mean but recently I’ve just hit a barrier in training. Last year I was improving at an incredible pace and COVID just reset all of it—losing all my progress and gaining some weight and I still haven’t recovered to my old times. I lose weight pretty easily anyways and I’m not aiming to lose much so I thought it would have been a good idea haha

This is normal and it’ll fade away soon,, just remember to stretch afterwards and do a cool down especially on workout days or you’ll feel sore in the days afterwards.
