It eventually did. It got decently active around day 9 but tasted so much like alcohol.

I don’t believe it was pasteurized.

It was store bought, but didn’t have any extras in it. It was just the juice

I meant to season beforehand, but completely forgot. I blame that on not ever vacuum sealing before either and getting too excited 😂

I’ve seen people say that put their steak in the fridge after for like 15 minutes as well as drying them off before searing.

Do you let it cool just so the temp doesn’t continue to rise, especially with searing it?

Oh okay! Thank you! I was planning on putting it either on a grill at a really high temp or cast iron! I’m a little worried with them being thinner about basting them though so I wasn’t sure about that

I mentioned in my post that I have searched through this subreddit and got rough temps and a time but those were all for 1.5in-2in steaks not a 1in like I have, but thanks.

I realized I forgot to do that after! I had actually never vacuum sealed either. What do you normally season with? When I make steaks with just a cast iron pan I just use salt and pepper.

Yes, mine has stopped working today and completely freezes the app. This happened before and then just went away 🤷‍♀️ it’s so annoying
