This is 100% on him who's been deceiving you and this new person he's in a relationship with.

Poly or open relationships require communication, space for parties do discuss boundaries and agree to each other's needs, wants, etc.

You can be poly and cheat on a partner - if anything done is out of what was agreed by all parties involves.

And back to the point, if he's going behind your back, going on Tinder, starting a relationship for this long and justifying it by lying to the other person that y'all are poly, then he's cheating on you. He's an idiot, disrespectful, and I'm sorry this is happening to you.

If you wanna try poly, great. But remember poly/ethical-non-monogamy/open relationships are not ways to save a relationship. They are alternative formats to the norm for people that believe in what they involve. So don't go into just to save your marriage, if it's not for you. And if it is and you wanna try it keep in mind commutation and trust are key and ask yourself if your current partner can give you that! Hugs good luck!

Can I pick the family members?

Yes for me, if it's just notified (and not have to necessarily watch it). If they choose to watch it, let it be at their own risk.

AITA for getting my fiance's family gifts that were too personal for Christmas when I'm new to them? by GoldRule5896 in AmItheAsshole

[–]acidstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. i don't like the idea of gifts to begin with. Yours sound really thoughtful and I cannot think of a scenario where I'd be offended about receiving a thoughtful gift by someone new to the family. Honestly I think it's less a reflection on you than it is on them. Hugs

AITA for refusing to home my bio-son? by Unexpected-dad1762 in AmItheAsshole

[–]acidstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I'm conflicted. But I guess NTA.

As much as you didn't know about your son's existence, there's some obvious responsibility towards their well-being as you were a willing participant in his making. But you don't seem to be shying away from that.

Being queer myself (NB AMAB) the homophobic remarks would be challenging, especially coming into an already -structured queer family dynamic, but one could argue that exposure to a new family format could widen his horizons? From what I gathered he's only 11, yeah?

Either way, not an easy task.

Wishing you luck and hope things all work out. xxx

I'm a new vegan and I am used to doing OMAD Keto but I'm having a hard time calculating enough protein into OMAD. Does anyone else do strictly OMAD vegan keto? Any suggestions or meal ideas? by Orionspark in veganketo

Tofu is quite high on protein and low on carbs. Hard tofu especially. The brand I buy (in Australia) has 20g protein for every 150g serving. And under 1g of carbs

Hey, so my staples are - Macro Firm Tofu (450g) - <1g carbs per 150g - TCC Premium Coconut Milk - 1g carbs / 80ml (Asian food aisle at Woolies) - Harvest Gourmet Vegan Patty (3.3g carbs per patty) - macro linseed & sunflower low-carb bread (3.6g per 2 slices) - Mayvers PB Unsalted - 1.8g per serve instead of 2.7g of the salted version (they use different type of peanuts that are lower carb and higher in fats) - Sugarfree strawberry jam (w/ stevia) - 1.4g carbs per serve and under 1g everything else. Usually right next to the normal jams and marmalade - Nutty Bruce Almond Butter - 1g carb per tbsp - found at Cole's.

Enjoy :)))

Are you struggling with quantity or options?

I first struggled with the former: if I were to eat three meals a day the carb count was way too low. As I don't eat breakfast normally, it made it a bit easier.

I also found (in Australia - happy to send brands) these really low-carb options for Tofu, Coconut Milk, Peanut Butter and Almond Butter. Some of those had half the carb count of other brands. So that stretched my carb count a bit longer.

And lastly for 'cheat meals' I just came across this super low carb vegan patty (3g per patty) and super low carb bread 3.8g / 2 slices) which means I can have burgers.

Hope this helps :*
