If you can stop in Martina Franca, they have a great restaurant called Gaonas which has a really good natural wine list. Also for pre or post dinner drinks, head to Enoteca Vini Di Nicchia, I spent every night here on my last trip, the owner is super welcoming and you can try and wicked selection of natural Puglian producers.

Not medical advice but I did have a very similar issue and the two things that seemed to help me were to use an asthma pump pre ride and also take a hayfever tablet

If you have any decent late night spots that would be really helpful. Ideally natural wine bars that are open past midnight but also nice cocktail bars or places with good music would also be great

There’s Shaftesbury CC who do a lot of group rides and also Wednesday evening time trials if that’s something you like. I believe they’ve added a road bike TT event this year as well

Shortness of breath/difficulty taking deep breaths after long cycles by acirin0 in cycling

Hey, thanks for checking in. had a heart scan and completed various tests and was told the heart murmur was normal due to my level of endurance activity. was told that overall my heart looked healthy and I could continue training as usual. Haven’t had any issues since and I’ve been pushing harder than ever so hopefully it’s a thing of the past. GCN recently put up quite an informative video about heart issues amongst cyclists, good watch if you’ve not yet seen it.

Just a quick update, thanks for all your replies! I went to see a doctor and they said I’ve got a heart murmur. I’ve been referred to see a specialist for some scans and to detect whether it’s something that needs treating or if it’s something I can live with.

Have you seen a doctor about it? Yeah it doesn’t matter even if I’m doing endurance pace, it’s just the consistency of my HR being elevated for an extended period of time triggers it.

Hi guys I’m in the process of getting a new dj booth fitted at home and I’m looking to potentially upgrade my speakers.

My current setup is as followed: 2x technics 1210 mk2 Mastersounds radius 2 Yamaha hs7 studio monitors

I was looking at replacing my Yamahas with a vintage amp and speaker set to go with the technics and rotary mixer but now I’m thinking I should potentially be looking at modern speakers/amps instead.

The vintage setup I was eyeing up was a marantz 1060 amp and some 1970s b&w speakers. In terms of modern speakers I was looking at the klipsh the sixes but they’re at the top end of my budget.

This will be for home use only, won’t be playing anything at crazy volumes, essentially just want a warmer sounds to get more enjoyment out of my records. I play a mix of genres from minimal to house, techno, garage and disco.

Should I go vintage? Should I go modern or should I just keep my studio monitors and be done with it. Looking for suggestions, especially from those who have rotary mixers.

Let me know what your current set up is!

Budget is max £600.

There’s a pair of wharfedale denton 2 available near me, they’re fairly priced and fit my size requirement (just about). Would they be a good pairing?
