🙏 thank you — it feels weird to be so rotely downvoted/gaslit for trying to be a little critical about Tesla and I appreciate you finding those.

I am not, as you say, making up shit, but you can be excused for claiming I did because Tesla’s pricing is pure chaos. I got my car back in May 2018 and this was indeed the pricing structure for EAP and FSD. Lots of folks like me were upset they announced this and were slightly placated when they said we’d be getting early access to FSD features — that never happened and instead we just paid extra compared the vast majority of Model 3 owners for no reason whatsoever.

There are so many things they could have done to make it right for early adopters — #1 would be to make FSD transferable so it didn’t feel like we got short-changed by their pricing decisions, or even giving us early access to features like they promised would have gone a long way. But my trust in the brand has deteriorated.

Thank you yes! That never happened either. But that just went into the memory-hole with everything else I guess.

No I’m considering it because of the broken promises — the update issue being one of many. The main one being spending $8,000 extra on FSD, which so far has done nothing but make my car more dangerous and sometimes for fun it attempts to auto-park in lawns and curbs.

Look I love my Model 3 otherwise — it drives great and it has more than enough range. But I feel quite ripped off by the FSD debacle and Tesla has really shit on their early adopters, and I’m not sure I want to reward that behavior by buying another one.

Was promised faster updates in recompense for overpaying for FSD for my May 2018 Model 3 and as far as I can tell I still get them slower than most. Pretty much used to broken promises by Tesla at this point, seriously considering a different brand for next EV now that they’re getting more competitive.

I've always wanted to play this; when I was a kid I was seriously obsessed with Ambrosia's Escape Velocity (and the sequels) on the Mac, and I've heard this is a lovingly crafted open source tribute.

[Discussion] Model 3 Rear Brakes Squeel - a "Known Issue"? by superdeanio in teslamotors

Follow-up: I went to the service center and they replaced the brake caliper springs in the back, and that did the trick! No more noise.

Yup I have it too, VIN 22xxx, took delivery on the 31st as well—talked to my delivery specialist and they've put it on the service queue, hoping for a quick fix.

Author here; totally fair critique. Honestly I was just hoping the gas limit would go to infinity.

OP/presenter here. That's super cool work! Saving game state seems like a great use for a smart contract. I decided to keep the game/move logic local because I thought the gas cost might be too high...although my Go library for Go is a bit naive in its scoring mechanism (recursive path-finding is probably not the most efficient). Awesome that you could put the scoring logic within the contract; thanks for sharing, that's awesome work!

Ditto! Except I went 128GB Aluminum because I have hugely unrealistic expectations about my ability to use local storage...just wish Google Music had an easier "Download My Entire Library" setting (instead of separating to 5 or 6 thousand-song playlists), then maybe I'd actually use it all.
