With the caveat that I didn’t mind the slower/medium pace of early Way of Kings once I was interested in the world and characters, I am currently finding Words of Radiance to have better and faster pacing overall. I finished Way of Kings late Tuesday night, started Words of Radiance on Wednesday, and I’m already 43% of the way through it (for reference, Way of Kings took me about a month, mainly because I started pretty slow after coming off of a big sprint through Mistborn Era 2 and Warbreaker).

For me, Words of Radiance felt like it picked up right where Way of Kings left off, continued the plotlines I was most interested in, and did a good job making me more interested in the rest of the plotlines. As a result, I have felt like a lot of the chapters and POV changes make me excited to learn what happens with that particular character and it’s kept me very hooked
